I majored in Finance and did nothing with it oops

Lot of people who start too young do nothing with their degrees

Because don't know the basic notion of how market and overall network works

Starting a bit later I am light years ahead of the 20 yo's starting now with me

Yup I was like a headless chicken changing my major multiple times during undergrad. I also went back to school less than a year later after graduation to pursue a second degree in nursing and gave up on that too after a full semester. I just didn’t know what I really wanted to do with my life. People who do college later in life definitely have a more meaningful experience.

It is currently on hold and has been for quite a while:

Major: State sciences economics

Minor: Philosophy

On hold? You still need to finish some semesters? My minor was in marketing. I would’ve double majored but got tired of how extroverted you had to be for a marketing degree as the courses progressed like how dare I pay money to be forced out of my introverted shell.

I need one more small course and the bachlor thesis. The rest has been done years ago but it is very unlikely that it will ever be finished.

Yeah, we had a couple of those folks. They could be quite annoying at times.

Why leave it hanging like that? It would bother me a lot lol.

God yes, they were beyond annoying to me too.

Im in college right now. Im majoring in liberal arts but I plan to transfer to a university. I want to major in Korean language and culture. Im in Korean 3 now. I like learning Korean so if I major in thar it won’t feel like much work. Which I think is important when choosing a career.

I too am late compared to ppl my age. Plenty kids my age already graduated college. But I feel like I am going into college with more meaning and knowing what I want to do. So it doesn’t feel like a waste. I didn’t plan to go to a university actually but unfortunately the career path Im going for, I need it.

Your current age and maturity level is definitely much better for college and yields more success than for a bunch of 18 year olds in your place.

Trade, specifically tile installation. When I was a teen I got an option to drop out of high school and start working, which I did because I hated school. I also liked the idea of training being free, while also making money. All I had to do was show up and learn, while still making a paycheck. I can easily make 50k to 100k each year depending on how hard I want to work. If I want to go balls to the wall it's around 80 to 100k, but my step dad can makes about 120k. Simply because he is insane, and extreamly professional at what he does. That probably sounds decent to some, nothing to others. I kind of enjoy my freedom and working at my own pace with no boss down my back, so it ended up perfect for me.

I have nothing against collage though, and feel it's really a positive thing for people who can make it work out for them.

I am a MArch

Master of Architecture? That’s really nice. Have you been doing work related to it?

yeah it's my vocation....

Midheaven?

I think Cancer

Cool, I ask this because for me midheaven has a lot to do with vocation.

Those with their midheaven in this sign will likely excel in artistic careers or professions that help others

They make very compassionate bosses 😊

Have various certifications as well. Certifications often put you ahead of the pack.

Yes true but are you making your goal as a leadership in business a reality? If I can do it without one so can you. Or anybody for that matter.

Anyone can be lazy like you. I choose not to be a bum. Anyone can sit around like yourself and be unambitious. I chose not to be. Don’t concern yourself with my career. You chose an easy path because you are lazy. You are Incomparable to me. It’s an affront that you would think that you were comparable.

So you absolutely right. It is no comparable. I don't work on nobody's clock anymore when now I got my own business. Even tho it ain't boomin anymore thanks to all these pandemics.

Nope I'm a white stright male so I didnt qualify for anything it probably depends on which state you live in too and which political party is actually in charge of the school board criteria because it's a two way street no room for a third and that's basically how it is here in America which is self defeating in my eyes. Fast forward 20 years later and looking at America now you can just tell this our down fall as a nation.

I have a History degree. I wanted to be a teacher out of college and then possibly a lawyer. I think I could have been good at either but my heart wasn't in it. I'm at the top of my field in my current job so when one door closes, another opens. I don't mind that I don't use it directly (often indirectly though because it makes you a polymath). It's fostered a love of learning, travel, and other cultures. All knowledge is the history of it 🤯

Plus college opened my eyes to "education" I can learn just as much if not more on YouTube. I did pay attention in grade school tho so maybe that was an advantage.

That might be true up to a point. I could have done without a lot of the liberal arts/humanities crap required by the university before getting into core classes.

A couple of the smartest people I knew never had an education beyond high school.

One of them was one of the last non-degreed shift supervisors for a manufacturing plant. He was the person that would get the 2am call when a production line went down. But it took him 25 years to get there.

The other taught himself computer programming (BASIC), built his own working sawmill, and was working on a way to use steam power from a dammed creek to power that sawmill, when he wasn't at his steelworker job or working his farm.

However, neither would claim to be able to design and build an aircraft or high traffic suspention bridge much less try. And I certainly wouldn't want to fly in one or drive across one made by someone who 'learned it off youtube' or went to a college that taught 'math is a racist concept'.

It all depends on what you're doing or want to do in the end. Some occupations truly do need specialized knowledge. I know I've had to go back into some of my old books/notes to solve problems that would come up from time to time. The trick there is taking the leap to apply it, because while the theory is there, applying it takes a little more creativity.

I studied fashion design but got bored real quick because it's not all glamour and shit

Now I'm a dental assistant and still try to figure out my true calling

North node in Aries in the 9th as well as MC with Aries in the 9th with Jupiter and Venus very tightly conjunct also Aries in the ninth

I'm definitely not happy where I work now 🤓👍

I have a bachelors of science in my field, arborist and some other bs certifications, and in the process of getting licensed in my state so I can charge more lol.

Honestly if I could do it all over knowing what I know, I would've skipped school and just started working straight away.

Yeah it's all BS (no pun intended) about 25% of theory can actually be applied or is useful in most normal jobs.

I was straight A one class away from my degree AA (it counts lol) and transferring when I learned how much I could make in a couple of years as a truck driver.

Plus college opened my eyes to "education" I can learn just as much if not more on YouTube. I did pay attention in grade school tho so maybe that was an advantage.

In my field if you work for a licensed landscape contractor (easy enough to find those) for 6 years you qualify to test and become a licensed landscape architect. All having a degree allows you to do is to test 2 sections early. But you still need to have 6 years experience to test for the remaining 2. Degree takes 4-5yrs typically… so you do the math.

It’s all bs and literally MADE UP. One day someone was like, ok gather round guys this is how it’s gonna go from now on 😂

O yeah similar as general contractor. You can probably learn in a year most of the knowledge 75% of contractors use. And I mean theory and hands on and even code. The only reason it makes sense is to limit the number of contractors, cause then it could flood the market.

I like this saying, "those that can't do, teach."

I use practically nothing I was taught. Real world experience really is everything. But I have hired people from my old university because why not keep it in the family. I will never forget when I ran into one of my professors bartending at the Mother Lode in weho. I asked him why and he said he needed the 2nd job cause university doesn't pay them well enough, like damn.

I like to surround myself with people that know more and have more skills so they can do the work and I can make my cut from it, no lie. My goal is to be the dumbest person in the room at all times which will naturally make me the highest paid person in the room. Its how this world works.

Nothing wrong with that. Only an idiot wants a lover who can only bring money and nothing else.
