Well that’s what we did on my first day of training 🤷♀️ Yes I remember the check in, discharge, and other procedures ADT teaches. But we also learned how to check the payments on the accounts and see what’s up with insurance (if they denied it, if there’s been appeals, etc.)
My job was to literally check the status of appeals, record how much money the patient owed, etc.
Even if it wasn’t true, in the words of Warangel: why does it matter to you if it’s a lie? How is a lie a stranger on the internet tells substantially affecting your quality of life?

I don’t know how that chain of events is so hard for you to follow. It was cut and dry when the volunteer coordinator told me one of their coding volunteers was set to finish their position three months after I had signed up.

I took my CPC exam last June. My CPC-A is from AAPC.
Yes, my professor warned me that new coding graduates with 0 experience in the medical field are not likely to get job offers (which I did experience first hand; “call us when you have a year under your belt” is essentially the response I kept getting). She told us that we’d have to start via volunteering/job shadowing since there’s no project xtern in our city.
