Has any team ever just started a season with a formation where you just say 'forget the goaltender' and play 6 on 5 every game? Can you do that?
The most ive ever seen was the former Avs coach who if the Avs were down would pull the goalie sometimes with as much as 6 or 7 minutes left in the game lol

That is pretty crazy. I mean if it is a hockey team that has awesome puck control, which most teams do these days because that is the structure most teams go for, then it could be viable. To at least try it at the start of a game until the other team scores or something. It would be strange, but if youre going to give up goals anyway then might as well. Cuz the starter for the Redwings tonight was drunk or something tonight between the pipes
