So all the talk in the buildup for the second leg is: will Monaco stick to what they're good at and go guns blazing? Or will they sit back and defend a lead even though theyve never done that all year?
It adds mind games into it. Which you wouldn't necessarily get in a best of 7 series where there's a guaranteed winner each game on the night.

I guess I looked at it, regarding the MLS anyway, that if a game is a blow out in game 1 it makes leg 2 less interesting to watch because what are the odds the other team is gonna catch them. Tho Toronto proved me wrong in their 2nd leg.
But I guess if you know a teams usual style it does make things interesting if they have to change what they usually do. Def sounds like a baseball series in that regard.

Although there are notorious cases of teams playing it too safe with a big lead going into leg 2, and blowing it. Toronto last year I take it was one of those examples.
Roma play in Rome on Thursday with a 4-0 lead going into it, having smashed Villarreal in Spain. But everyone knows Roma's lack of pedigree in Europe and being their own worst enemy so no one is 100 percent writing off Villarreal yet even if it looks pretty much done.
