Yeah, many times. Personally, I love that part of the Cote d'Azur. Basically from Nice all the way to Menton is my favorite part of the coast, and that includes Monaco.

Give me some specific questions and I'll be happy to answer. If you want just general info, I can try to oblige but might not target your real interest.

Nice to Monaco is no more than 30 minutes but avoid peak hours at all costs (i.e. before 9 am and after 3 pm). Basically there is only one route to go down from the freeway or highways (les Corniches, as they are called) to get into Monaco and one road back out. If you get stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, you might go nuts.

Good restaurants in Monaco are few, and I even dare say inexistent, but what's totally worth seeing is the Port where you will see the fanciest Yachts of your life and the view from the Castle way up at the top of Monaco (Monte Carlo).

The old port called Font-vieille is also a nice spot. It's more low-key and there's a small shopping mall nearby.

The only beach in Monaco is called the Larvotto. It's pretty low key, but might be a bit chilly at this time of year. The Miami Plage Restaurant on the beach actually makes a pretty decent pizza and serves some nice salads as well.

If you're in Nice, the absolute best spot is Old Nice. Great bars and restaurants. Shopping is good on Avenue Jean-Medecin. Take a walk on the Promenade des Anglais and enjoy the Baie des Anges. Look out for psycho truck drivers coming to crush you 😉
