The only way this fixture becomes exciting is if Atletico decide they can crush Leicester by going all out attack and show them no respect, but that might just open the door to another chapter writing itself in the book of the English champions, as the fairytale Leicester City story continues...

Heres the run down
Starting in the West since I find the match ups weaker whereas last year was the opposite.
WEST
Anaheim Ducks vs Calgary Flame
Probably the matchup I care least about. The Ducks are good. They have won their division for the 5th year in a row. The Flames are underrated and underappreciated, but I don't like their chances of beating the Ducks so its all a little ho hum
Minnesota Wild vs St Louis Blues
The Wild were one of the best teams the first 80% of the season but they have faltered. The Blues lack depth so that will be tested. Goalie for the Wild Dubnyk was also the best goalie the first 80% of the season but has fallen apart some. However Blues goalie Jake Allen has been the most inconsistent goalie this season. Blues won the season series 3-2. If Dubnyk is on the Wild will have no problems, but if not this series could get chippy
Chicago Blackhawks vs Nashville Predators
Chicago is the most solid team in the west and have been for awhile now. They are tied with Washington with having the best odds of winning the Cup. I look forward to this series because last year in the playoffs Nashville was the most intense team to watch and veteran Goalie Pekka Rinne was on fire. Rinne did not have the best season but is getting hot at the right time. Chicago should have this series tho.
Edmonton Oilers vs San Jose Sharks
This series has all the makings of a major clash. It could go either way and I hope its as fun as it as the potential to be.
EAST
Ottawa Senators vs Boston Bruins
Not the most exciting teams also Ottawa swept Boston 4-0 in their season series. Ottawa is all about defense and goaltending so if Boston struggles to score it's a done deal, but if they can score in games early they have a good shot.
Montreal Canadiens vs New York Rangers
Montreal swept Rangers in the season series 3-0, but one cannot count the Rangers out. Montreal is one of the most well rounded teams in the playoffs. They can beat you many different ways. Both teams also have two of the best goalies in the game. If Rangers can take advantage of power plays that is their best bet on overcoming the dragon.
Washington Capitals vs Toronto Maple Leafs
As Tiz said it is auston matthews vs alex ovechkin. Maple Leafs are fun to watch and Washington is just a powerhouse. In reality Toronto really shot themselves in the foot by only winning 1 of their last 4 games and now having to play the Caps instead of Ottawa. I expect or at least hope that 3 games in this series are high scoring absurdities.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs Columbus Blue Jackets
Probably the series I am looking forward to most. The reigning and defending 2016 stanley cup champion Penguins play the youngest team in the league, but a team that had a great season. Columbus gets a chance to prove that they are for real this season and not just a mirage. If they can beat the defending champions that is huge especially since the BJs have never won a playoff series in their somewhat short history. Pittsburgh has all the advantages however with their experience. They'll have to be out coached.
