I went out to dinner with my best friend tonight. The busboy at the table behind us was looking directly at me while talking. I thought he was trying to ask me a question so I was like "huh" and kept making the "you talking to me face", until my friend pointed out he said Josslyn, he's talking to the waitress across the room. When he finally looked straight ahead I realized he wasnt looking at me after all he was simply cross eyed. Now we both feel awkward. 😑

My stepmom bought Christmas gifts for me and my siblings. But...I was the only one she bought a sentimental gift, a trinket saying how she loved me like I was her own daughter. She didnt give anything like that to my other siblings. I thanked her, but now I feel guilty because she didnt do the same for my two sisters. I feel like I should have spoke up and called her out, but I didn't, I thanked her. And now it feels awkward accepting the gift. Why would she do this knowing they would see it?

I'd dust my shoulders and say "that's the pisces effect hunny"

in all reality that's a tricky one, and whether I would confront her (or your dad) depends on the ages/personalities of your sisters (are they young and vulnerable? or otherwise sensitive) and how harmless you would deem the gesture to be in light of your stepmom's other behavior. my dad's married to a "special case", they're ostracized by some of his own family members but he won't leave her so no reason to try to confront her behaviors. but I did when she was bullying a child, that's a hard line.

We're well grown. But my sisters are scorpio moons and will never forgive the slight. I chose not to address it with her, but will mention it to my Dad it was sweet but I wish she had gotten somethimg similar for all of us.
