We've got a shotgun of some desciption. I don't know all the details. We got it when we were living in the boonies in case a bear (not likely) or a pillhead, methed-out, redneck (very likely) came in the door.

My husband and I went to a gun store recently looking for a rifle. We're not huge on guns- just like to have some protection around. The owner and a customer were talking, in great detail, about the various uses they each had for their stockpiles of guns. When the owner asked my husband what he would be using a gun for, my husband (with a straight face) said, "I'm prepping for The Zombie Apocalypse". The funnier part is that no one seemed phased by it.

yeah, page 2, I'm slipping. However, if the Zombies ever do attack, you're going to be applying for a position as a well protected cowgirl harem girl... and wishing I'd taken you up on that marriage proposal from a couple weeks back. :p

I do have a ridiculous amount of guns and ammo... but when I'm shooting during the good weather months, I really do go through enough ammo to justify it. In true tightassed Capricorn form though, I learned how to make my own ammo... I even cast my own bullets. lol :p

Hornady even sells "Zombie" ammunition now... so it's a running joke now for gun guys to use that excuse for buying guns and ammo 🙂 There's even a group dedicated to the purpose of shooting, preparing for disaster, and watching horror movies called "The Zombie Squad" that is getting pretty popular. If I end up moving to Wisconsin near my Sag buddy for work, we're going to join and form a club chapter.
