And out of interest, what name do u call your SO? Somebody on here called me Tissue the other day and i thought it was adorable, i almost stole it for the new man but he is already used to his own petname, Peanut (just bcoz i love them, ok?, nothing weird ).
Elle, the petname thing actually confuses children, lol. My taurus friend and her husband call one another honey and they have 2 kids. When the eldest was about 2 i would play with him and ask him his name, but when i pointed at his mother he would say honey, same thing to his father. He thought their names were honey and honey, lol
Jynja..baby is another weird 1 (and so is sugar), lol, i dont blame him. What do u call him now? Im also not a big fan of cutesy names bcoz you will never know when they are two timing u bcoz everything is sweety this and that-I prefer them to say my name as unromantic as it is.
Lmao @ booby shrimp, makes me think of a shrimp with a boob job. Come on Layla, dont be mean to the guy, just call him Lobster or something to keep the waves of love on a high tide, lol. Can somebody say seafood platter? Lol. Your petname actually reminded me of Jamie Foxs character in Bait-went to jail for stealing a shrimp. Haha
Jynja..And what name is that? I wont tell, promise
babe
Lmao @ cat. Thats just strange. I wonder where that 1 came from. What did u call him in return, exo? Mouse? Rat?
Not that weird then, cats are sexy imo.
I don't like pumpkin. I'm thinking REALLY— A pumpkin is a large, round vegetable!!!!!!!
My bf calls me Sweetness or Babe. I kinda like it.
Around here, out in the backwoods and hick towns, the whole town call some guys by a nicknames like Bubba, Tater, Cheesy, etc. Most go by Bubba, though. I think its pretty cool when their wives or girlfriends call them by their real name (and not the short version - like Thomas instead of Tom). Kind of backward philosophy.
Lmao @ truecap and torro. And i agree, calling your boyfriend daddy is a bit weird. Haha
Well, I can see a married man with young children calling the wife Momma for the kids sake and then it sticks as a nickname. Same with women calling their husbands Daddy Bear or Big Daddy. But not for dating couples who don't have kids!!
I kinda like Big Daddy but i would never call a man that, lol. Steve Harvey made it sound sexy.
Oh, I agree - would feel incestuous. Ewwwww!
I say daddy in jest 😛
Boo is pretty common for me. Babe/Hon. Not really a big deal.
All in all, its a term of endearment whatever they call you and that is sweet.
I actually hate most common cute names, can't stand any babyish type references (baby, babe, boo especially not booboo) or food/ingredient names (sweetie, sweet heart, sugar, honey, pumpkin ect). The only cute word I can do with is "Love". I also like the sound of my full name in woman's voice, yes 😉
Truecap..lol, yeah but theres a limit thou. I know i wuldnt like to be called my dumpling even if its out of love. It would make me think that he thought im fat or full of cellulites. Also the mama thing is strange too, imagine him saying that while ur having sex- instant turn off.
Well, it'd be better to be called dumpling than a sweet piece of ass! hahahaha!
Just saying!
My ex husband called me booger back in the day. I REALLY HATED THAT!!!!!!

What is that 1 thing that your wo/man ALWAYS does or says that u cant stand? Let me just say i really cant stand being called babygirl by any1. Now this guy im seeing LOVES that name, knows i dont like it but continues to call me by it. Makes me see red. Doesnt help that we have a bit of an age thing going on- it just screams incest in this case and now i HATE it even more (it sounds dirty), lol.
