Nights...I thought I understood the Crooked Cop role but I'm still confused. 😐
I understood it as - he's Mafia but doesn't know who they are yet and has to find his team. If he picks a Townie and jails them, that Townie can't vote. Provided everyone else votes, the Crook can assume he picked a Townie.
But if he picks a Mafia and is still able to jail them, how is he supposed to know that person is Mafia? Plus, by being able to jail Mafia, he screws over his own outnumbered team.
If he can jail Mafia, then he isn't working for the Mafia.. 😕
Whoever he chooses to jail he also investigates so I will tell he/she that persons role the next day. So yes it will suck if he jails a mafia but that is also the only way he will know who mafia is. He/she could always ask that jailed mafia person who he/she should vote for.
Think of it this way, the crooked cop cant really be crooked until he/she knows who he is being crooked for..

He/She's no part of Mafia so she/he has no decision in the Mafia vote at night, right?
The crooked cop basically wants to jail/investigate the players he or she thinks is a townie.
Especially if the crooked cop thinks the player is the slut, doctor, or cop.
I assume he/she automatically jails the person he/she asks about, right? Not send a follow up PM with another name.
Or I guess if they get to chose, then technically there would be two cops if they chose townie.
I think it should be mafia though. 2 cops for the townies sounds a bit unfair. Mafia work is harder then you think.

Yes but I wouldnt send you that message until it is day time and after the kill/nobody dies announcement. and yes that person wont be able to vote.
and yeah they are sided and have to be sided with mafia. They will count as a mafia member in the end. As in 1 out of 3 mafia members is out, there would still be 3 mafia members left counting the coorked cop.

best case scenarios are
A. he/she happens to jail a mafia member at the very start because the first day is always the easiest to have everyone confused on just who is a mafia member so one mafia member being not able to vote wont be too bad.
B. He/she never jails a mafia member but finds out who the cop/slut/tracker/doctor are so he can always keep one of them jailed. Tho cant do the same person twice in a row.

also..since you will say that "the cop" died..when the crooked cop dies, to confuse people..
will you also tell the tracker this person is "cop" or will you share the "crooked" part of it?

Couldn't the crooked cop know who the mafia is and perhaps only jail townies? I mean townies have the advantage of 1) Saving a life (help from the slut) 2) Saving someone from a kill (help from the doctor)
How exactly does the crooked cop help anyone? Especially mafia until the bitter end or unless he/she happens to guess all mafia members?
It sounds unfair, but perhaps mafia doesn't get to know who the crooked cop is so they have to be careful who they kill or oust during the vote.

I was going to do another role for mafia but people were complaing that the mafia already has the big advantage which isnt true since the townies have 75 advantages but it is what it is
The crooked cop doesnt have to guess all mafia members if he can get 1 mafia member to trust him and tell him or her who the rest of the mafia is. He/she also helps by keeping townies from voting

Ahh yes, but here's where your wrong. The Virgo is actually very smart, and must be acting dumb so smart player give examples of how they would play their role if they got it.
