I dealt with someone who had some very strong traits, but I don't think he was a textbook narcissist. I know his father was/is definitely one.. So he suffered being raised by him.
Hmm, yes.

Unfortunately, many people who are narcissists are not born that way.

They become that way as the result of a very harsh and destructive childhood that can often include physical, emotional and/or sexual harm.

Yes, you are right.

The narcissist has several symptoms that must be met in order to qualify.

The one thing that usually stands out the most is the fact that they seldom have friendships or relationships that are long-lasting.

It's because they often use people to get things for themselves, instead of actually enjoy a healthy and positive relationship with other people.
