OMG, this has nothing to do with chat or anyone in it.
This quote just stood out to me as a terrible mentality to carry around, and something I disagree with. The fact that someone else agreed with it was even more motivation to me to want to put it up for discussion. But who posted it or who agreed with it was not important to me.
If you are of the opposite opinion, I would like you to share your thoughts about why you feel this way, how you find it to be a benefit, ect. Now its likely that I'm gonna disagree with you, but I would like to listen to and consider what you say, or at least try to understand where your coming from.

I'm sure folks will disagree with my assessment. But I'm feminine sun and feminine moon. And I've come to find that people who have these placements have a different concept of loyalty. My other double feminine sign friends tend to be similar. Where as my masculine sign friends, especially masculine moons, don't get it.
For example: I've found with my Scorp moon friends especially, that they are loyal to the point that if they get a whiff someone is giving me the stink eye, that person becomes not just my enemy, but theirs. It's not about your friends only being able to like the people you like. It's about the fact that good friends don't usually go out of their way to rub elbows with those who would do you wrong. And if they do, they're probably suspect. They may be smiling in your face today, and stabbing you in your back tomorrow. Which is why the quote says, "Never trust a friend that would associate themselves with your enemies." Because when I'm close someone, no way in hell can I smile and grin in the face of someone who is a jerk to them, and then call them my friend. Maybe others can, and they don't see it as duplicitous. But I can't. I'm that loyal.

Obviously, this doesn't apply to acquaintances but friends and fam.
It goes both ways-- I don't like people who treat the people I love like garbage.
It comes naturally-- I don't even have to try.
I don't understand people who think differently but *shrugs*-- I guess they do.

Apparently I offended some masculine suns/moons with my comments. Apologies. Loyalty isn't based on a placement. It's based on the individual person. People have different views on friendship and the concept of loyalty. My views are MINE. I do not speak for other Pisces suns, Virgo moons, or feminine signs sun or moon. I was simply pointing out a pattern that I noticed with a few friends, specifically Scorp moons. And yes I know this is not true for all Scorp moons as well.

No actually I do. I dont only have a scorpio moon but its also conjunct pluto & its in my 8th house. It doesnt get much clearer than that.
But still, WaterCup be possessive & be like "Hands of my enemies, they're MINE!!".

I dont control who people can be friends but I'm not going to lie, I'd watch myself around the said friend just in case they get sent to poison me or something lol . I never trust anybody anyway so I think I'd handle that situation quite well. Only stuff I tell friends are relationship stuff, things I dont care even if they were broadcast to the aliens. Very deep things like my future plans etc are reserved for a select few & thankfully they dont live close enough to ever meet + be friends with an enemy of mine.

My friends are Pisces and Cap sun. My friends are protective of me, and I'm protective of them. Sad to hear others don't have good friends. I don't require that my friends make my enemies their enemies. Nor do I make my friends enemies my enemies for no reason. The point of the quote....which everyone seems to be missing...is that the person is saying they would not TRUST a friend who associates with their enemies. And I agree. Mostly for the reasons DonAmarat so eloquently stated. I find it hard to understand how someone can call themselves a friend, then go and smile and grin in the face of people who talk shit about you or wish you harm. But as I said, everyone's concept of friendship is different.
