of course freud would come up with butter like this he was a taurus.
Interested in the experiences, the likes and dislikes of such individuals whom undergo such concepts with this preference...not really looking for a Freudian discussion as it were.

Yes i get this ~ i studied the art of aromatherapy and became very in tune with the olfactory system. Prior to this i had noticed a certain type of arousal or reactions to certain smells. I remember one of my lovers would stand and sniff my coat π and become very turned on by the perfume from my body.I sometimes like to sniff my lover's hair and armpits and this sends me into a spiral of sensuality and if i was to have one of his tshirts in my bed when i was alone, i could immediately transport myself to a place where we are together
Is that what you mean ? π
Yes, precisely what I mean π
Our sensory organ within our olfactory system have one, if not the highest level of impact, strongly linked to our emotions and memories, since it involves our brain's limbic system.
Yet, this concept could lead one towards a preference for the less than polite/pleasant scents, such as sweat, armpits, unwashed individuals, bottoms, etc. It makes one wonder if it is a case of simple pheromones (which a certain few may excuse their preferences as), the attraction to our natural scent (muskiness), or a case of having a sexual attachment to the memory of such otherwise 'dispicable' scents?

i gotta say though; freud is overrated and clearly had some huge issues of his own. living in a very odd, close to incestous relationship with his daughter anna, who turned out to be a lesbian .....
Hah Nem, I clearly made a bad decision when writing my OP. One wanted to give the man credit for his term, but this thread is hardly about his theories, it is not another Freudian discussion, no thank you. I would like to dig further into the individuals who have experiences with this preference, likes and dislikes etc.

Yes, that seems to be the typical response but one must give credit where it is due π
Yes, Honour (credit) to whom Honour (credit) is due π

I like it.
You like it, or you go through this phenomena?
What particular scents, do you have a preference for, is there any particular 'peculiar' scents that gives you this 'emotional feel-good high'?
