People being catfished

My best friend was just catfished by a guy. I know its usually girls that do that. He was like 70 lbs heavier than he said he was. She feels bad for him though.

What these people are lying for?

Don't they planning on ever meet object

That kinda happened to me with a guy. He looked better in his pictures than in a person. He also lied about his height on his profile but was honest in person. He was short! I'm only 5ft so I think he liked it but not me...

She said he would be but its hard to see his facial features because his face is so chubby. That's mean but she was mad that he lied.
