When a poor man bleeds from the head nobody cares, but when a rich man sweats everybody worries. It's fucked up that people are making such a big deal about this woman when there are some rotten offenders out there who don't deserve to be walking free.

I fully agree with this statement. However, the topic at hand is this woman because you raised it. I had no knowledge of her case until I read your thread. I am not suggesting one issue is less to more important. Simply answering the question presented in the OP.

If the OP asked what we thought about her crime in relation to other child abuse crimes, you would get a different response.

To clarify, "different response" doesn't mean I think she should be excused in relation to other crimes. Simply, that the focus of the discussion would be different.

Posted by WaterCup Anyways, I don't what was on her mind at the time she made all those bad decisions but I think it's important to look at her situation...her homelessness with two kids in tow & try to put ourselves in her shoes. Its easy to judge until you walk a mile in somebody's shoes.

I'm not running, be back later...something came up.

That's like saying "Anyways, I don't know what was on his mind at the time he made those bad decisions, but that sex offender hasn't had any sex for a long time and needed to rape a toddler"

C'mon...how many churches are in Scottsdale, Arizona? She could've walked into any one of them and told them what she was doing. They would have watched those kids without hesitation, how about a Fire Department or Police Department— ANYONE with a heart would jump to watch those kids for her and applauded her efforts. At the VERY LEAST, she could have taken them into the interview. No excuses.

Nobody believes it for a second, except the OP, and it's so sad that she is so out of touch with reality.

A normal, responsible woman would go above and beyond her call as a mother to protect her children ..... even if it meant selling a blow job for some bucks.

Not only did she leave them unattended in the car - she left the driver door unlocked with the keys in the ignition .... why would a person do that?

So, the OP and that woman who opened the fundraiser are just going to ignore that tid bit of very important information? ... because ignorance is bliss?

I can't believe this thread was made with intentions of not only defending a child abuser, also to make excuses for her.

the OP even made the implication that the competitiveness of the potential job was a feasible excuse

I hope she doesn't have children of her own, because if she'd condone this ... then she'd do this.

How does me understanding where she is coming from translate to I would do the same thing? I am not her. I have my own way of dealing with problems. And most important of all, I am human. I do understand that people make bad choices when going through hard times. Get off your hightower, Rapunzel, because I'm sure that you have some things you've done that you're not proud of yourself. Just because we don't have a public story on you or a mugshot to prove what a piece of human crap you are, doesnt mean that you're now better...you just didnt get caught. It's funny how people on the internet always act like they are epitome of all that's good about the world. Look into the mirror before you preside, your honour.

I hope so too. I wonder where the father(s) is/are. He should be the one in jail for not helping out. Couldnt he watch them just for an hour? Some men disgust me.

—? Who was in control & responsible of the kids well being at the time this took place?

ofcourse the mother, but the children's wellbeing shouldnt be her responsibility alone. If he paid anything towards the upbringing of his kids, surely she wouldnt be in this predicament.

Let him rot in there for being a useless turd.

She has been talking like this for quite some time, and I seem to be the only person who notices how bad of a person she is.

If a person reads her posting history ... they'd be literally astounded at how awful of person she is.

That's rich coming from you, grandma May. At least I dont go around calling people all kinds of vile names unlike you. Some are even young enough to be your great-grand children. You should be ashamed of yourself. Compared to you I'm the Pope himself.

What?

No... I don't believe for one second she didn't have options. Give me a break. There's something not working right in her head.

This couldn't have been her first time doing it either. SHE just got caught.

i'd have to agree. it's probably not her first time. if she can't handle having children and the responsibility...and it's HUGE, infact, more than your own life. always have someone you can trust to be there for you when you need to get to a job interview ect ahead of time.

how can you live with yourself if something ever happens to them? it's enough to slit your own wrists because you = general can't cover/ or make sure they have someone watching over them. i'm sorry but you can't even forgive yourself.

That's like a scripture taken right out of the Bible compared to most of the things YOU say to people on a daily basis here. I've never called anyone a single ugly name since I've been on this site because that's not who I am. I've disagreed, yes, but to actually call them cunts & all other catchy phrases that you've said to young girls here...NO. I always make sure to be nice to people, on this site & in real life. I don't get involved in drama, here & in real life. So kindly point me to a thread or post by me where I've attacked someone without being provoked. So far I've fought with only ONE person on dxp & even with her, I still played it mild because that's the kind of person I am.

The justice system has been sending "messages" for a long time now & I think all criminals have it memorised by now too. However, I just don't see why this case in particular should be treated any different when people who've intentionally harmed their own children walked away scott-free. What message do you think the case about the dad who raped his own infant son said to masses? That it's ok to rape a child, just make sure to own a fat bank account before tugging at that zipper & pulling down those pants? I think it's unfair that the poor are so harshly judged & punished while the Richie Riches of the world can do whatever the heck they want & it's alright.

The point is she is an offender. This is classified as NEGLECT & CHILD ABUSE.

Can you tell us your thoughts if both kids died?

She is in no level compared to some of those who walked without charge. I'd still stand by my word if the kids died because it wasnt intentional. Mistakes happen. People err. I wouldnt look at someone that intentionally killed a child in the same lense as someone that did it unintentionally. A life would be gone & that would be sad, but without malice...I forgive.

No it doesnt, not in my mind at least. Sex with a child is a different ballgame. It's sick. It's selfish. It's meant to harm. Leaving a child to go for an interview is neither sick nor selfish. It's for their benefit as much as it is for the mother. No sane mother want to harm her own children, so it's not that either. Bad decision making compared to a sick person with mental issues is no contest. Sick perv deserves jail time. Period. No such thing as putting your penis inside a child.. by mistake. LOL! But I'm sure some wordy lawyer would disagree with that.

You're the one sounding out of touch with reality here. So now selling blow jobs is better than looking for a real job? You crack me up. Yeah, let her suck a dick just as long her children are nearby. Would it be better if this mom sold blow jobs at the backseat of her car if the kids were at the front? She is keeping an eye on them, right, so it doesnt matter what she does.

This type of behavior has nothing to do with being broke or whatnot.

This happened close to where I live, mom left her child in shopping mall parking lot, in a car... kid woke up screaming, someone heard and called the cops!

It's not the same mom, though. Different issues at play here. Mall (fun)

It is the same issue, you know why? The decision to leave kids unattended in a car is crazy and both chose that. That's what we are talking about. No? I really don't know what or why this woman at the mall did that. Nobody said she was going in for fun. She could have been applying for a job for all I care. You don't leave your kids in cars. Cuz if you are doing that in the open, what are you doing behind closed doors? Child neglect, big time. Those are signs of instability.

I get your point but it doesnt change how I see this case after reading this mom's story. What she did was wrong, yes, but it's why she did it that makes me feel for her. And I don't believe she's a habitual abuser or the cps would have picked up on that since the chidren are now in their custody. One time stupidity, that's what I believe.

I can understand some compassion if this was a one time event, she's in dire straights and people who don't know better, don't do better. I've only read this thread, nothing else about the incident, just reading it here however...

this is crazy...

Posted by LetltB

Court documents say that officers entered the car through the unlocked driver's door and found the keys in the ignition. The engine was not running but the blower motor was pumping hot air into the SUV.

Who does that? Locking the kids in the car would indicate at least wanting to keep them safe from other unknown variables. Leaving door unlocked and keys in ignition is asking for someone to come help themselves to your babies.

zero excuses

You are correct it wasn't intentional, if it were it would be 1st degree murder. In this case if the children died it would be called NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE.

Whether in the Phoenix area, or anywhere in Arizona, per A.R.S. ??13-1102 —Negligent Homicide?? occurs when a person commits an act of criminal negligence which causes the death of another person.

—Criminal negligence?? means the following: with respect to the result, or to a circumstance, a person fails to perceive a substantial and unjustifiable risk the result will occur, or that the circumstance exists. The risk must be of such a nature and degree that failure to perceive it constitutes a gross deviation from the standard of care that a reasonable person would observe in the situation. Negligent Homicide does not allege that the defendant intended or wanted to kill anyone, but that the death of some person was due to the risky behavior of the defendant; behavior that a reasonable person would not have done because of the risk that someone might get hurt. This charge is often brought on parents whose kids die in an accident, and the prosecution alleges it is the parents?? fault for not being better, more attentive, and protective parents.
