What's up with looking/acting/asserting self like a male?

^^^^ Can you give me some examples before I can agree?
Unkempt appearance, no care for routine female regimens.

If that's more or less followed, then the personality is horrendously nasty and/or loud.

During arguments there's no class. Just an emotionally trainwrecked yelling broad. I legit have NOT seen an emotionally stable female in an argumemt who tried to care for her reputation or how she's perceived by the surrounding people.

We can't all be as feminine as Aries women.

Because it's not 1950.

What you describe is the current "trash" in the media. We allowed some pathetic trashy bitches (Kardashians, for example) in the lime light WAY too much and now people think it's okay to behave like low class, tacky bitches.

People aren't smacking their kids around enough when they behave like this. This is the end result.

I personally have never witnessed (in real life.....not on tv) two women arguing in public since middle school. *shrugs*
I have and it ain't pretty. And just stood there and witness them fight. Didn't even bother to break them up either.

well, that's idiotic.

1. Fighting like that

2. You just standing there

Why is it so idiotic? 😕.

I don't get it. I would think we as men would love to see female fights.

We as men meaning not you. I know you a woman.

I'll just tell you now, this is not a huge problem in LA. Maybe the South, but not in LA. A lot of women here care about their appearance a little too much.

I think it's because women have more freedom of expression and more opportunity. With more opportunity, there is more opportunity for fought situations - like being a single mother, for example. Or being one of the only women executives at a business. Women them adjust their attitudes and behaviors to survive, and that sets an example to others which then creates a norm.

That's not to say that all women raised within the United States are "manly." Cultures vary in their description of "womanly," so I think it's best to simply let every woman define her sexuality and role in society for herself.

WAY too much. These bitches can tell you all about makeup, fashion, and all the dudes they're banging, but can't find their way around SoCal to save their life, let alone use common sense.

Class.

It's moreso about class. The poor areas of town have people that dress, behave and act like this. Which is to be expected since the women normally are the only parent.

I don't see it in the nice neighborhoods, wealthier or middle class areas.

And there's rednecks everywhere. They just go by different names or slightly different appearance lol.

HAHA. Let me tell you ALL about that theory.

I work in an area that has money. It also borders an area known for trash. So I get to see both sides of the depressing spectrum that the human species is capable of... daily.

Money does not buy you class. Old money, maybe, but most of the new money- tackiest assholes you'll ever meet.

We live in a society of people who want to exude "class" but have NO idea how to do it. They're up to their eyeballs in debt, spend money like they have wealth, but do not carry the actual status, class, manners, that comes with your traditional well to do families, so to speak.

Prior to moving to my current location, the previous city I lived in was a well to do city- total bedroom community. Expensive houses and people had money. The neighborhood I lived in, in particular, was a part of an HOA, so there were walkways throughout, between houses, and in common areas that were mini parks and play areas for kids. You could see people's back yards, and sometimes could see into their living rooms if the blinds were open. Bare back yards, poor landscaping, and barely anything on the walls inside, including sparse furninture. These people supposedly had money but lived like rednecks. It was really interesting to see, tbh.

It's always amazing how people will drop mad cash on MK bags, Jordans, take on expensive car payments, etc, all to give the illusion they have class and money, yet they fail to get something as simple as manners and decency- both of which are free ninety nine. Says a lot about society atm.

I am a single mother and one of only three women execs.....I have never argued with anyone in public and I don't behave like a man. A woman can be assertive without being masculine.

That is possible, of course. I don't recall ever saying it wasn't. Nor have I said anyone has ever "argued in public." Your post is reactionary as opposed to thoughtful.

That's a load of shit.

When is comes to sexuality vs freedom of expression.. Women are absolutely looked down upon. Which is complete bull shit.

I prefer a woman that is secure in her sexuality.. And the fact that that is looked down upon in American society frustrates me to the core.

Women have just as much right to enjoy sex to the fullest as men do.

Without a doubt, the United States has its faults. It is far, very far, from being perfect. But the fact that you said that a woman who is free in her sexuality is looked down upon is, in and of itself, proof that women can AT THE VERY LEAST, take it there. There are cultures and societies where women don't even have the possibility to "go against the grain" or "march to the beat of their own drum despite the ridicule," there are societies where they are simply ridiculed. Yet another reactionary response, instead of a thoughtful one.

The answer is simply: We can be whatever the fuck we wanna be. THE END.
Exactly. I really don't get this thread. I'm doing what all of my women have done before me and that's get shit done. Last night I made a dinner with everything from the garden for friends and it was excellent. From the ragu to the watermelon martinis. That was after a long day of fixing water irrigation in rich people's yards. I mean I do clean up sometimes. I consider myself feminine even on days I'm covered in dirt. 🙂
