...I don't mean to sound cynical ...but I believe that this isn't getting any coverage cause it would only make the police/government look bad ...the people aren't angry ...they aren't "physically fighting the police/swat/" so the media can't make them look bad ...but if the protesters hurt a police officer and his arm had to be amputated ..you can bet that would have been ALL OVER the news ... 😢 ...

Read this one.

Conspicuous reporting.

Yes, let's listen to Fool Bear's recollections as an authority on the matter..is that Chief Fool Bear? on the Tribal Council? lol. The thing about native names is that they're usually spot on. 😉

It's CNN.

Offering a *rare* opposing view.

But true to form, you oppose any viewpoint

which counters the trendy, SJW / facebook

fluff.

Carry on.

You're absolutely right!

I figured that they were keeping it under wraps when it first started because they didn't want to make the current administration look bad and hurt the dems in the election.

That is done and over with. Now what? Every time a swastika appears on a building there are 100 camera crews there to report on it for the next 36 hours but they can't put more attention on this? It is a huge story no matter which side you stand on.

It's not about that. It's about what's actually happening and who supports it..not some random dipshit they chose to interview as if his take is substantiated or carries any weight...ya know, such as the Tribal Council or the Chief as I cited. The only fluff provided is your usual inability to differentiate.

I trust CNN less than any of them except Fox. You're a donkey if you think they represent an opposing view.

The District Chairman of the town where the protestors wanted to build their

winter camp is not exactly a random... dipshit.

(It was shot down.)

The people in the communities who are directly affected, by not only the pipeline,

but the protestors, actually DO matter... and that is what the article is about.

And the article brings up a very good point (again... rare for CNN)-- people are

getting the majority of their (unsubstantiated!) info from social media.

Now my take isn't that CNN has published the unvarnished truth... that would be silly.

The point is that it's good to read more than one source.*

*Noted in this case, OP got the story from family, I believe... ?

But as rule, yeah-- read all sides (even if it hurts).

I've been watching this one from the beginning. I saw plenty of coverage.... down to the major corporations and banks backing the pipeline. NPR National Public Radio has been and is still covering. They also cover life on the reservations with interviews after covering the protest. This was last week:

I will have to tune into to NPR.

MSM has barely touched the story. I just watched ABC world news and not a peep but Black Friday shopping got a segment.

I'm a child of PBS and NPR... practically raised me.

I came to the conclusion that I have to "fight" with money. Protests are not enough. I'm assessing the organizations I will contribute to to fight many things... (especially since the election.) I can see the writing on the wall... pun intended.
