I don't mind sex in the light but I feel like sex in the dark is so much more powerful, exciting and has a more natural flow. I think it helps me to detach from reality and just really enjoy my partner in this cocoon.

I'll co-sign this one. I love the intensity that's brought to all the other senses in pitch black, and there's also quite a bit to be said for groping everything until you figure out where you are. 😈

If there up is too much light, I worry I will be turned off by something I see. I know, weird.

Sounds like you have a hard time getting lost in the moment. Just relax and it rip! lol 😉

An ex of mine would get freaked out about shit that accidentally poppes into her head during sex, such as relatives or gross people she's seen during the day... and I was like, who gives a fuck what accidentaly poppes up into my mind, it's just a free flow of thoughts. If it's inappropriate but I'm not turned on by it, it slips out of my mind just as quickly.

Of course if grandma accidentally popped into my mind and I found myself enjoying it... that would freak me out. But since I wouldn't enjoy it, I wouldn't even think of it twice.

So what are some of the things you'd get freaked out by seeing? Like, the guy wearing socks? 😛
I guess sex tapes are out of the question? lol

Enfant, there was a Leo guy --years back -- he had everything I liked in a man. Everything was going great until that fateful day in that well lit bedroom. He was so into flexing his muscles (not that one) and checking himself out in the mirror, totally turned me off.

Sad day indeed. I broke that off shortly there after.

So if THAT was the only thing standing in the way of marriage, then damn gurrl.... gotta hand it to you, you must be very superficial! lol

How does that boil down to being superficial if its a turn off? Not gonna marry a guy who's not doing it for me.

C'mon now, not all Leos are the same... I hope. Are they?

Well, I'm just working with the idea that EVERYONE has something their partner thinks is a turn-off, if not flexing the muscles in the mirror then it's those cheap-shots they recycle in every heated argument with you, etc.

I get the turn-off factor, I just don't get how something so insignificant can be the reason to break up with someone. Have you actually ever been with someone who didn't have a turn-off factor? Or is it that you have a strong aversion to people who are into themselves... even if they're into you? And inside you. 😄

There's a lot to be said for both.

Dark - people are generally more uninhibited. There are also certain facial expressions or bodily movements that FEEL really good, but don't necessarily look so good...lol. If you're always in the light you can be overly conscious of what the other person is seeing, and start performing instead of being as fully immersed as you could be.

Light - especially with men being so visual, I think its essential that you get it on in some form of lighting from time to time. Alot of eye contact during sex also can enhance every aspect IMO - sexual, emotional, etc. It deepens the intimacy and causes a rise in a lot of the same chemicals that kissing, massage, and orgasms themselves do. Its also something that I've found couples need to practice, because if you don't really trust each other, accept each other, etc., its hard to maintain.

Ideal to me is candlelight or in front of a fireplace. Something about the amber tones are just intrinsically romantic. And it seems to make everyone look better - flaws are not as pronounced, the skin glows, etc.
