Tiamat, you should vote and protest - that's your right as an American!

The point I was making is that through history, we have continueously gone to war with other countries, no matter who was the President. So, the fact that Bush is in office really means nothing if with every other leader the problem of our interference is prevalant. Even Abe Lincoln was an attorney - very, very rich. What I was trying to say is that we just need to make sure we are protesting the right thing, you know what I mean?

Protesting a war doesn't mean much, really. The war is the effect - not the cause! If we did indeed have power over our government, then don't you think we would have gotten the Goddamn troops out of there - in fact, wouldn't we have been able to stop it before it even happened?

The war (any war) is the effect - not the cause. The cause is the money-hungry Congress who will always slant towards being the richest and most powerful because they are all lawyers. It has been known for quite some time, that we needed to reform this huge flaw in our government, but, everybody is afraid and doesn't have the balls to stand up to them. The only people I know who have tried were assassinated by the government. Look at your history - it's all there.

I don't think we should be cowards and go hide. We should always protest and push as hard as we can to change legistation - but, we're trying to change the wrong thing. We're trying to change the President - not the policy. Bush doesn't make policy, Tiamat - the frigging Congress does!

hehe.... read the article....

King Bush proclaims liberty for all the world

?We are ready? to rid the world of tyranny

By D. Lindley Young
The Modern Tribune

"It is a path of empire and world domination rather than one of one of world leadership. His choice is a path seeking one world under America, rather than one world with America."

WASHINGTON, D.C. (1/22) - Bush said at his inaugural speech, ?Today, America speaks anew to the peoples of the world." Harkening back to Abraham Lincoln?s emancipation proclamation, Bush reached for the history books, declaring, "America, in this young century, proclaims liberty throughout all the world, and to all the inhabitants thereof.?

He boldly, if not brazenly, set forth his global vision of the new American century and made clear that "we are ready" to rid the world of tyranny in ever continent of the world. In Bush's words, ?we are ready for the greatest achievements in the history of freedom.?

So, as Bush puts it, "it is the policy of the United States to seek and support the growth of democratic movements and institutions in every nation and culture, with the ultimate goal of ending tyranny in our world." By Bush proclamation, it is now "our world" and "every nation" in the world is subject to this new U.S. policy. Bush said, ?Advancing these ideals is the mission that created our Nation.?

The new Bush doctrine was Bush's warning to the world. Its timing was intended to incite action and it will. It is made at a time when American hatred around the world is at an all time high and trust and respect for America at an all time low. The hate and the distrust have now been provided with greater prompt. And the respect for democracy may have fallen to a new low.

New Bush doctrine creates "urgency" to spread liberty

Bush ties the security of this nation to liberty around the world and creates a sense of urgency for his global mission. ?Now it is the urgent requirement of our nation's security, and the calling of our time.?

There are two clocks ticking: one for Bush that he has given a sense of urgency for American security. And the other for the world which will have to react with an equal sense of urgency.

Two messages: America and the world

The words selected were intended as domestic propaganda to justify Bush's wars and as a fiery warning to the rest of the world.

For Americans, Bush provided a noble and timeless justification for past and future wars: security and humanity. Bush made the case for many future generations of this nation to expend American blood and treasure in the name of "liberty" and this justification, if bought as packaged, will make the future wars of Bush an easier sell. Lower standards of evidence are required for wars fueled by great and noble causes.

In his inaugural address Bush attempted to convince Americans, and to many successfully, that their sacrifice of life and limb is for the great and noble cause of humanity and the security of American. He attempted to create a battle cry so that no one can ever claim that their sacrifice, however great, was or ever will be, in vain. It will forever be a sacrifice for freedom and liberty for the world. Under the concept he terms as "liberty" no price is too high for Americans to pay.

The propaganda for "liberty" will replace the law.

All service and sacrifice by Americans is now justified for the greater good of humanity. This mantra for freedom and liberty will be repeated over and over again in order to pound away the standards of evidence once required for war. The propaganda for "liberty" will replace the law and all civilized global tradition for war. It will replace the rule of law and international concerns.

The already ignored War Powers Resolution of 1973 which was designed to permit wars with

P-Angel either you didn't read my posts carefully or you got so blinded with rage when I took agreed with Qbone's point of view that you didn't get my message clear. Why supporting Qbone's efforts to draw attention to world's terror events means supporting his tyranny too? No I don't support anyone's tyranny. I leave them alone. That's my way. when one can ignore aggression specially when it is on net why to get defensive or offensive? Just leave the person alone. I did object to certian points you made regarding other people. As I truly felt that You are getting so carried away with your issues with Qbone that you are going a bit overboard. You seemed to be on a rampage.

Infact in this thread you and Qbone both come across as bullies. Not that I resent either of you. Like I said what can be ignored should best be ignored. If a person was to get aggressive with someone in real person to person I wouldn't turn away. I would definitely see to it that both cool down and there is no abuse.

BTW I am not angry with you at all. I don't know why you think so. If it was something regarding the past posts then maybe it would have been something too trivial for me to remember but maybe very important to you.

Take care don't worry too much about the personality people show on net. Most of it is just pure madness. This is all I have to say.

I have my own brand of havoc. And I may say something that could be badly misunderstood or which would be dynamite if it reached the wrong ears. I am don't regret for what I said about certain board members but I guess I've been unfair to some..(except that idiot para?. Err?..Toto)?.

The Important is, communications must happen in a right time and right place? some of us may get distracted by some unbelievable information..(not all minds are ready to digest and accept a lot of information at any one time specially if they are against their agendas)?

I would like to thank StD/Looney/Alana/tiamat/BJ and 19Eleven for their thoughts and input/insight and more importantly understanding my point view?

Its not my intention to BASH or disrespect anyone if you guys can still understand this, my points are crystal clear (in my head at least).. and I would love to share it globally to make the better and more understandable environments, if we share our ideas and put them together we sure can change the world?. We may not experience it in our life time.. but think about our kids? they will continue living in this planet.. long after we've gone.

Please keep the world a safe place with your actions against stupidity?.!! This bombing happen at 7/7? will happen tomorrow and for many years to come if we don?t take a serious action against it?.. Fighting against bomber only makes it worse?. Our governments and politicians are responsible to this happening.

Just wondering because in your post you literally said...

I don?t like Americans?

So, I guess you didn't use the word "HATE" but you seem to express this general disdain for Americans overall...glad to see it isn't personal.

By the way, I don't think one culture deserves more respect than any other regardless of the duration of either culture. Just a good dose of understanding from parties not involved directly within that environment.

Yes lady? I've never said I HATE?. !

You may be right.. I've never said that I am right.... just expressed my opinion about what I believe?!!... I could be wrong? who knows?!!

The way the people handle things (mentally) are different?. As mine is different to you? nobody is better than the others, but when I am talking (typing) I am expressing my own "experiences" and not just the words that I have seen somewhere..

But again lady? I don?t hate anyone?!

You see..

If you working in my line of work (photographer/videographer) in especially war zones, you would understand deeply what I am talking about, some of the scene I was witness for is deeply touching my soul and belief for past 15 years?. I had a long discussion on the religion board and political board about it with Para so I am not going to Babel about it now?.

But believe me or not, EVIL exist right in front of our own very eyes we need to recognise it by its actions and decisions and stop the damn thing before it put us in to wilderness..!!

Its not a religion thought, but he is and old enemy that must be treated with respect and knowledge? and not the military or brut force..!!

Australia isn't as neutral as you may think. We always seem to have troops somewhere, usually under the instruction of the US. I think you'll find we've stood along side you guys in most of the wars you've been involved in.

I think it's a case of f#@ked if ya do, even more f@#ked if ya don't!!

And yeah, we're run by lawyers and accountants. And they say these wars aren't driven by greed. Yeah right!!!
A post on another topic prompted me to do this one:

What are some good home remedies for such things as burns? Bites from snakes or wasps? Anyone know how to make a splint or tourniquet? Best ways to get rid of fevers or chills? Rashes?

I am in the process of trying to get car insurance and they ran a credit check on me! Why they check a persons' credit for a service that you prepay for is beyond my comprehension. Why should my rates be higher or lower b/c of my credit...What does that

Alright everyone!

A simple question.....what is considered the most redeeming quality of every person who visits this board?

Don't lie, and don't pass the buck, and everyone answers for themselves.
