I was more directing the link @christinelovessnickers so she can see the games i was refering to. She may already know, but those are made by people saying good bye to their guilds and the games. I got sad watching them honestly..... but my health and finding myself > video games, I used them to avoid life lol

Hope it's not something from the surgery?
I don't know, but I will check it out now! I do love video games, but I just don't have time to do anything. I love anything with a puzzle involved. The last game I played for hours/ all night is jak and daxter in high school.

Yes.. many years playing online mmo's... some lonely people in the world and they can fall in love with your avatar.. true story.

I have made some life long friends through gaming however, just saome twisted ones as well that make you go hmmmmmm.
I can't comprehend "falling in love" with someone you have never met .


I bet you meet all types.

I have meet several people over the years face to face at conventions etc...I even dated someone long distance after meeting up at one of them. 😄 he wanted me to move across country but that's another story for another thread!
How did you likeither long distance thing?

How far was the distance?
Cross country. I'm in Vegas he was in South Carolina... like i mentioned, expensive flying back and forth. I couldn't pick up my life and move, i did a cross country move once with my ex fiance and got burned bad.. sooo i was skittish of doing something like that again. Granted this was years ago.. he's a good guy, we kept in touch for a long time after but we both decided it was better to end it since i was not ready to move.

And why couldn't he do the relocating?

Anytime I hear about LDR it's always the female doing the relocating. It's pretty stupid to do.

I swear I wouldn't move for a man unless we were engaged or married. Who knows if I will change my mind, but so far not a chance.

Exactly what i asked him. He claimed he was stupid when younger and couldn't be on the west coast due to criminal shit.. BIG red flag, something that restricts places someone can go.. naw. I get everyone has a past and what not and people change, he got busted dealing ( he claimed), so i didnt see how THAT would impede him moving. I figured he was not being honest.

It's a good thing to stop, think and listen to instincts.

I just don't get it when the woman decides she'll bite the bullet and uproot HER life to do it in almost every situation I've come across and it's very rarely the guy. If anything it should be 50/50 and you both move to a new place haha. Each situation is different, but it's so sad that women choose to change their entire life for a relationship and should things go south, they're fucked and living in a place away from everyone they know and their family.

I recently had a friend come visit from Aussie. At first, she made it sound as if she was treating herself to a mini vacation since she liked it so much the last time she was here a few years ago. She also was excited to have an opportunity to see me again so it was yay. I knew there was a guy she'd mentioned she'd been chatting up via email that lived here as well. She also wanted to see him while she was here.

Well, after she and I had lunch and talked a bit about the rest of her visit, it became very, very apparent her only reason for booking such a last minute, expensive trip was to come see him. I was a tad surprised because from what she'd told me, it didn't sound as if dude was all that serious about her. She came here with high hopes and romantic notions and was disappointed when he didn't live up to these expectations. I tried to curb her and told her not to sleep with him the same day that they met (she did *sigh*).

Meanwhile, I'm *facepalm* and feel bad for her because it's like wtf are you doing woman? You dropped some serious cash on plane tickets on a guy who's been farting around with bs lines via email? I tried to ease her disappointment and told her to focus on the rest of her visit and all the fun things she wanted to do. But it was just another lesson learned for her, I guess.

...I just don't get it. This is why I'm not a big fan of women initiating shit or doing such drastic measures. Too many are incredibly blind when it comes to paying attention to the signs and choose to live life as if it's a romantic comedy. IT'S NOT. If dude isn't making much effort to retaliate interest, why the eff are you going to spend all this time, money, and major life changes on the guy? *headdesk* Desperation is so incredibly sad.
