Nebraska? If so, there might not be alligators wherever they live, and they could argue on this point to show a reasonable Nebraska native should not be aware of an alligator ..

You'd get laughed out of court with that argument.

But, you don't know that because you think ignorance is excusable.

That argument would only be valid if the alligator was in Nebraska.

No, it's not .. and it has nothing to do with presentation .... ignorance is not an acceptable argument in a court of law.

And furthermore, all this ridiculous talk about signage ..... ALLL of the hotels surrounding the lagoon are owned and a part of Disney, so it's irrelevant at which hotel the signs are posted.

this isn't about the accountability of a hotel ... it's about Disney. And if Disney posts just One sign on it's property, then they covered their asses.

But, of course, young people have to have someone with them at all times, with signs telling them common sense... or their rendered completely stupid.

If ignorance is acceptable then that Brock guy should have been found guilty ... because there wasn't a sign by the dumpster telling him not to do it.

What a bunch of ignorant fools.

but if it was man made, disney needs to take more precautions, because they've essentially created an oasis for large, powerful reptiles.

what the fuck?

Disney built a lake in the middle of alligator territory on purpose FOR alligators ... did all of you just pop out of your mother's vagina yesterday?

Of course, they created an oasis for large reptiles ..... that is the sole purpose of people making ponds and lakes in Florida.

Y'all a bunch of dumb muther fukers

if i go to disneyworld, it's not for the alligators.

There are an estimated 1.4 million alligators living in Florida because that is their natural habitat. They occupy every fresh water pond, stream, lake, virtually every tributary, and even brackish water.

Those are the facts ... if a person goes to Florida ignorant of the facts, then that's their fault ... not society's, not Disneys and not Florida's.

were. they. swimming

it's a simple question, and i expect a simple answer.

the answer is simple .. but, first, there was no "they" .. .it was just one person

And "yes" that one person was swimming.

If you're in water waist high, or maybe even higher ... then that is swimming.

Wading would be if you are up to/around your ankles, lower legs.

For a child who is only 24 inches tall ... then 12 inches is NOT wadding. It's swimming

if they had intentionally withheld information or led guests to believe otherwise, than that would be a whole different pickle.

Information was not withheld .. there are signs all over Disney property telling patrons that there are alligators in the water.

Show me proof that people were led to believe otherwise ... otherwise, you're just running your mouth, likely due to you not being able to have a valid discussion without making shit up.

wading is perfectly acceptable even expected and encouraged.

You just make shit up .. doesn't matter though, because the truth will prevail .. not some idiot saying, it's encouraged to go in the water when there's a no swimming sign.

I'm done with you .... I don't talk about made up bullshit.

when you have something valid to add ... then you'll be given credit

You young people have been so sheltered, and so protected, and stuffed under rocks your whole life .. to the point where you've stopped thinking.

You see something new and shiny and think you're the first one to have ever experienced it, so whatever your virgin perception is ... sets the standards.

You're so stupid, it isn't even funny.

Florida is known for Alligators you dumb asses. Disney built that lagoon on PURPOSE for the ALLIGATORS ... because experiencing the alligators is what you're going there for. It's irrelevant whether a lake is natural or man-made .. it's whole point in being there is so the guests can experience alligators.

It's just you, young ones, who are arguing the alligators being there are utter morons and have never had an independent thought in your life.

the Lagoon is there to encourage, and house the alligators ... you dumbasses.

That's what you go to Florida for. that is the thrill of it ... it's like going to Six Flags and there's no rollacoasters .. that's what you propose, because you're too stupid to think for yourself.

Look at the goddam hotel, look at all the attractions .... the alligators murky water surrounds the hotel because they WANT you to see the alligators.

Especially that littestar lady .. I've never encountered someone so stupid before. Even when she's looking at a map and can see with her own eyes .. the light never goes off in her head ...... I guess she needs a sign to tell her to think by herself now.
LOL
Yup
gators in the 'glades are old news, bubble boys and girls.

Here's a song that mentions them from back in 1992.
I used to hear it on the radio in those days.

The parents were negligent.

That is true as well.

So this has to do with common sense but what if let say you had a babysitter watching your kid and you find a FB clip of your kid getting dounced with gallons of water at a park, is being pushed too high in a swing, or stuck the girls face directly into a sprinkler? Is it negligent? And could you sue her? Or simply hiring the wrong baby sitter, and get another more qualified to watch kids carefully. What would you do if this happened to you?

Obviously, she would wait for someone to post a sign, and then she might or might not follow the sign. And if anything else happened after that, then she would make up her own sign, saying she's not going to practice any common sense, at all, until someone tells her to.
