I heard he was. I never liked him much either but he's amazing on this show. They are stellar, both of them.

Only 8 episodes. HBO puts on good shows, not your usual TV crap.

This show plays with my mind... Great writing and the cast, I'm so impressed.

I stumbled onto it one night... thought it was late night HBO porn... very shirty porn. The scene I tuned into was Mcconaughey strapped to a bed with blind folds on... Then I found out it was a series, that's about it.

Season finale was last night. I will miss this show, best thing on tv in years.

I saw two episodes last night. I liked it, the writing was mediocre and predictible at times, but the acting and the overall style makes up for it. Will definitely see the rest of the season throughout the week.

Never thought I'd say this but McConaughey kinda blew me away, he usually plays himself in most things he does, but his acting style here was the opposite of anything he's ever done before. That boyish smirk is gone, he speaks in a different tone of voice, he looks skinnier too, total transformation.

Also, I can relate to his broody, pseudo-philosophical character. This scene cracked me up because it reminds me of how I was in younger days... and I haven't lightened up one bit! 🙂

Finally watched the last episode of season 1. Been a long time coming, a whole year judging by the *bump*.

So the 2nd season has the Scorpio/Leo detective duo replaced by a whole new cast when McConaughey/Harrelson pretty much were the show? I also hear the writing is getting lazier. Anything worthwhile in the new season? Except for providing a reason to see Rachel McAdams without having to sit through a chick-flick.
