Why .....

... has the community flagged all of LIB's threads of late?

This seems odd to me, because people have made horrid threads .... like animal mutilations, and rapes .... but, those threads aren't closed by the community.

I wasn't able to read what was in those threads, so I don't really know what was said .... but, how odd that they were closed by community, considering how many people it takes to close a thread.

Makes a person think that it wasn't about words said, rather, vengeance?

Could someone please tell me what was so aweful, that the community banned together to silence voices.

Some of the threads that have been popping up lately, have been really aweful ... yet, the community realizes that those voices are allowed to be heard .. if it's not liked then just ignore.

Even threads where people are told to kill themselves don't get closed by the community.

If someone deceptively has multiple screen names (6+) and they don't want your thread up or the truth exposed, they flag it = COMMUNITY FLAGGING. If you click on my threads you will see they all were community flagged. This is a glitch in dxp that needs to be addressed.

We have this issue at least once a year.

You know, I'm pretty new here, but it seemed really weird.
Certain things longer term exp users have said now fit with some other data points, along with the awards near disaster.

Where this gets interesting is implied acquisition if personal info for whatever purposes.
*That* transforms from squabbling on some internet site to potential criminal activity.
Not saying that's true either, but users who do post charts would be well advised not to give out personal info (charts tell a lot, but other info is necessary to really cause trouble for someone).

It smells fishy to me and I am not involved with any of these behind the scene politics in play, IMO that is what is going on. You can call it paranoia, I call it good common sense.

@LIB....I have been a victim of Identity theft just recently. Tried to process my return, low and behold found out someone has filed under my SS#...

So Yeah, becareful people, lots of scam artists out there, especially around tax season.

^^^^Honestly I thinks it's up to Duncan, I have seen threads flagged by like 8 people and it stays up...I've always said there is way to much favoritism on this site but I have learned to enjoy my time on here and not take it to seriously.

In the first case, enough people were online who like the one being attacked - and they flagged the thread and closed it.

In the 2nd case - the threads that stay up for days are attacks against people who are not as well liked, and are only taken down when the attacked contacts the site admin to remove the thread

Flagging is usually bs. Unless a thread reveals personal information on someone else (real information, not just screen names on DXP), flagging is just censorship.

Why should threads, where people are told to kill themselves come down? And the person making those threats go unpunished? Somebody could purposely get your thread to be deleted, by telling you to kill yourself, meanwhile they continue the same offensive behavior again and again. Hold the posters responsible and to account for their behavior, why punish the thread creator and others who took the time to contribute? You're rewarding offensive behavior.

Certain people have a remove thread option available to them when they log in.

I am not going to debate whether the threads should have come down because I like both LIB and Elle BUT

the speed in which they came down was unreal. How could that be? Even if multiple users are the same person the e-mails would have to be sent in rapid succession and he would have to be sitting at the computer with his finger on the delete button.

Another possiblity is once a thread has been flagged 20 times regardless of content, it comes down. Now can one prson flag a thread over and over again...maybe.

It's all really strange , people talk about ruining others people's character on here and getting all up in arms...this is the Internet..we are all characters on here...Nala is not my real name.

I don't think Clueless in Clueless. In fact, if you get past some of things she talks about she talks about some really important things..like agriculture and racism and women's rights.

Can you direct us to the name of the thread and creator of thread that got deleted? And on what forum? Because I've just now highlighted the pasture thread on capricorn forum, the dumping garden thread on cap forum, the is there a generation gap here on misc forum, and my red pill or blue pill? Thread on misc board. Where there are the same individuals, telling people to kill themselves or go die. So these individuals continue to get away with this, but other posters are punished to pander to certain individuals? All these threads should be deleted, but individuals making comments go unpunished? Check all my posts today, for proof.

Regardless of the deleted thread..something I can't get back, people have pm'd and asked for the info. which I have saved, and I have a feeling there will be more requests.

I made another thread in the Writing Forum, not for safety purposes, more along the line of being responsible for the written words we claim as ours, when it's really not. Already got the accusation of "witch hunt" with it. So far it's holding it's own and in the proper forum.

The fact that a thread for safety was deleted in a Miscellaneous forum..I mean, c'mon..
Again..most with common sense would know why. That's a given.
