I just finished watching "Wolf Of Wall street" and...
Taxi Driver, GoodFellas
Casino was basically like a remake of the latter, only set in Vegas. Same style , similar content, slightly different plot, same people.

I didn't really like taxi driver, but I don't lke most movies from the 70s.
They're always about crazy hairy people shouting and doing nonsensical things for shock value. Sexual liberation made the 70s too crazy.
But I agree the movie does have some formal qualities.
