I recommend checking out Blvck Ceiling. He has some really awesome stuff.. Lots of material released.
You just made my month! That's a lot to listen to; thank you.

Excellent idea ! ^^
The quintessential vaporwave track
and
one of the best future funk EPs!
This is probably my fav. future funk track:
Leave it to the Japanese to take vaporwave seriously
Since Rihanna likes to get retro w/ that SNL performance from 2012 + her Tame Impala cover...
more music threads from you please...always love the stuff you post...
this dude destroys me...some of my favorites:
I'm listening to this song + watching this video on mute and it matches perfectly

YESSS, I love Skylar Spence/Saint Pepsi. His stuff & IACON's tracks inspired me to start working on a track sampling Company B - Fascinated.

ah...didn't know you were a producer....about to run out but...can you post some of your stuff here? Would love to hear it. This is "Enoch" btw...
what do you use? I have a Maschine and use FL Studio, which I'm going to have to buy again as I just had to reload my OS after a crash....thankfully was able to have recover my files at the data level but scared to even look at the folders right now....

Oh I wouldn't consider myself a producer, I just dabble. Last thing I made was the opening track for my fashion show in 2013...

I used to use Acid Pro back in the day and I'd mess around w/ FL Studio & Ableton.
Oh wow, this video is like a cross between Drive & The Lost Boys!
oh fug, I wanted to create a faux retro segment into the eighties thread, but this will do
I'll post some when, I'm back home

I was waiting for you! I was thinking about that too but I figured the 80s thread was for actual 80s songs.

it's probably better here, because it will drift toward electro and stuff
I have to add one of my fav. songs of the decade. The girl w/ the Kennedy from MTV News steeze @ 2:36 got the moves!
So I've been listening to a lot of this stuff, and I've noticed the major difference with real 80s music, is that they can't sing for shit. Most of the time it's just nerds composing on their computer in their room and with no real singing training, and no more good role models existing in the mainstream music anymore. Which is a pity because some of this stuff would be really first tier with a good voice track.
I have yet to listen what has been posted, must be some pretty good stuff in there.
I'll post more tomorrow.
Oh man, I loved Career Opportunities. That movie got me on my Jennifer Connelly crush.
TRONICBOX: remixing songs I don't really like and making them great.

at least they're improving their looks 😆
I'm not even joking 😂😂😂

liked what I heard, the bass especially...funny I haven't touched my soundcloud account since exactly 2013 either....too lazy to upload anything and tag it/submit it to all the diff. groups, etc....and there's so much good music on there but mainly I just started to get overwhelmed by the constant feed from everyone I was following....I couldn't keep up and it just got too chaotic....

Hey Enoch! What do you make? Btw, why do you have to buy FL again after reinstalling your OS?
I just dabble like Ursa....grew up on, and really love the whole boom bap 90's era hip hop, soul and jazz-based sampling....
w/FL was using a super old version forever, which I tend to do - v. 9 which I think was 6 or 7 yrs old. have no idea what email I was using when I dl'ed it. I tried but can't access my account....don't really even know if the *last* version I was using was a legal one, though I know I bought it legit at least once. I suppose I should try to call into their tech support and sort it out. just glad I still have all my files...

Thanks! Yeah I used to go on Soundcloud religiously but then once I started downloading songs, they require you to subscribe to certain accounts and those link you to other accounts. It got to the point where I couldn't keep track of who I was following & I had to filter out all the stuff I didn't really listen to.

lol...exactly, now even the logo just triggers depressing thoughts of all of the good music I won't have time to sort out....
I like this track, I remember hearing it for the first time when someone used it in the background of this indy wrestling video I saw a long time ago and I thought it was so haunting.
Someone should start a New Age / Worldbeat thread. The first page would be the first Pure Moods compilation.

Thank you! Everybody else who was featured in the show used a ton of Lady Gaga or dubstep, I wanted to make my own track & trap it out.

lmao not gonna lie, i think about tubular bells at least once a month
dead can dance is a great band, if you havent explored them already. serpent's egg is such a good album. although, cocteau twins are my fave of the two. i could listen to garlands 4ever n ever

I love & hate Pure Moods. Love the music, hate the memory of the The Last Emperor theme playing in the background while I was puking on my 19th birthday.
I haven't but I will be exploring their songs. I initially thought all of the synthpop/new wave bands from the 80s-early 90s were going to progress into the Cocteau Twins Heaven or Las Vegas sound.
french coldwave is great, I just don't have time yet to listen and filter some good ones for my playlist, but I will.
One of the favorite albums I bought in recent years
What I want to know is if you've listened to the whole ten hours... 😆

I think I can last maybe 10 minutes before it annoys me. lol
I really like this artist/band, thank you
