Also why were all the best sound machines created in the last century and then.... just nothing since then? It just seems like people were much more "on it" when it came trying pushing the boundaries with some of these machines than now.

because it was still considered musical instruments, nowadays everything is digital and they only consider the value of "sound" as a digital frequency rather than the result of an instrument.

That's why string instruments,wind instruments, etc...are all different.

When you listen to a guitar you don't just listen to the sounds it produce but you're also listening to the efforts of the human and the limitations of the instrument, all that is important.

synths could produce more richer results if there were more varied input methods than just a piano keyboard.

If you get into oldschool synths, you'll be attracted toward coldwave because that's the mood of the instrument.

love this...LMAO @ the cat and the "deep and stimulating conversation" sample....will check the vaporwave as well....you need to share your Bandcamp EP with @UrsaMediocre ...I think he would thoroughly enjoy...you may have motivated me to spring for SD3...watching some vids on it now....had no idea...thought it was just going to be a sample pack....this thing is unreal....
