To survive or Thrive

I come to the conclusion we are living with the wrong focus in life and passing it off to our children. It's not our fault. It's the way we were taught. It's just sad we doom our children to do the same.

When your only focus is survival, that's all you get from life. You survive and maybe more if you catch a break somehow.

When your focus is to thrive though, survival comes as a byproduct and life is much more enjoyable.

A relatable reference would be the difference between the mentality and focus of those of us raised poor and those who's survival was never in jeopardy.

The money/resource difference is superficial when yoy really think long and hard about it. It's possible to have the same mentality in life without the material head start. Taking risks in life to achieve your goals and passions is much more filling, even when you run into a failer, then keeping your head down and scraping by.

You get what you settle for. If you never settle for less then youll alwayd have more than you intended. What I do think we are doing as humans is enslaving ourselves. We are trained to be slaves and cogs from 4 years old up until we decide not to be. And even we are bound by something. What I want to teach my son is to free himself and think for himself and then he'll do more than survive and will never be a cog
