yes! we have this problem with one of our cats. we hide all the plastic she adores.
do not know why she does this either. she vomits too, but she also doesn't chew,
just gobbles food down. (it's not a dental problem)
am putting a little dry food with her wet food to trick her into eating what the vet recommended for the crystals in her urine. been giving both our cats that malty goo for hairballs, and i'm hoping something in it is satisfying her craving for plastic. however i will continue to put up all plastic products! good luck!
Hide it all that's dangerous. My cat doesn't do that but he does like to chew on my plants.
*Rolls eyes
see im not 100% sure they're swallowing it though but it's annoying that all my bags have holes in them and bite marks. it also just cant be good in general
mine does this too!!! and she LICKS AND LICKS AND LICKS AND LICKS the damn things!!! any kind of plastic bag. Glad mine isn't the only looney cat out there.
My cat (RIP) had an obsession with those chinese noodles you get when you get takeout. She'd shred the bag and lick every single noodle - chewing on the edges. Lol wierdest cat ever...

ok this board doesnt get very much action but i want to know if anyone else who has cats has a problem with them chewing on plastic. i've had cats all my life and none of them did this but i have 3 cats that are out of control. they chew on shopping bags, department store bags, literally anything plastic and i think it's the reason they are always barfing. thoughts?
