I do not agree with it. Never had.

However, if in jail, no vote. Once free, let them be.

5.9 million american citizens who are denied their vote. Majority are men and poc.

To put that into perspective, Trump lost the popular vote by the largest margin in US history, 3 million votes.

I hoped that you knew I knew this when I stated "never had."

Mississippi is the state with the most blacks yet it's still a Republican stronghold... like duh.

No, only if the mental or physical healt makes an informed voting choice impossible the right to vote should be able to be denied.

Everything else is against the idea and concept of democracy and might even get abused on a larger scale.

Plenty of diagnosed schizo and alzheimer's/dementia peeps out there who cast their vote.

Old people shouldn't get to vote in someone who makes laws for the rest of us for years to come when grams is gonna keel over in 6 months anyways. I like that.

Sry not sry.

I agree with it. If you are convicted of a crime then you forfeit the civil/legal right allowed to you to vote. Once the conviction has been spent then I agree with the right to vote. I do not think there should be an upper age limit on voting. Once you are of legal age to vote, and that's usually when you reach adulthood, then you gain the right yo vote. If you start restricting or denying people the civil/legal right to vote, for example for age related reasons, then you are saying that your vote, as a younger person, is more important than the vote of another person. History, in some parts of the world, shows there was once a restriction based on gender and skin colour.
