Is a Second American Civil War Likely? 31% of Americans Think So

Interesting survey. I'd especially like input from people from the Balkans on what to expect if this occurs (this is hypothetical):

I know for a fact it won't be a full on war. More like the poor and jobless vs the police and military.

Lets face it, people who have a job dont have time to fight a civil war. They are too busy focusing on work and making money to take care of their home and family. Thats the fail safe of the government here. Even illegal immigrants who are working face the single file line. Most only make enough money to survive comfortably. By that I mean food everyday and a roof over your head. There is no way out, and most live paycheck to paycheck. Because of that they are binded to this typr of life style , and wont be seen in the streets with a gun when all hell breaks lose. Truth is most eill likely wake up, and still go to work tomorrow. Drive around all the protesters/rioters, and still arive on work on time. Because that's what they were raised to do. Its the American way.

The country is so politically divided. It has become us vs them and people are arguing just for the sake of arguing.
The political pundits need to go. They rile people up and say outlandish stuff for ratings. If we remove them and the constant rhetoric, most Americans would fundamentally agree on 80% of the issues.

80% of the issue are idiots who believe everything they hear. They lost the ability to look into something on a deeper level, or even in the other side of a story. Only stupid ones believe the things they they hear from the the news, politics, random statistics, and media. They are the only ones breeding too. Let them kill themselves off.

There is no need for the idiotic sheep who will believe everything they hear anyway.

what co-relation have the political state of America with the Bosnian war 😆 the US is too advanced in military weaponry, with the plausibility of a civil war fueled by some weird politicals figures (the republicans and democrats ain't risking their power) , drones could kill important targets under the cloak of the night, and the day the people decide to go overboard they will learn the true purpose of the national guard, only a state emergency is required to movilice them.

I dont know about a civil war....but the mindset of the current administration is creeping into businesses. I can see the shift.

No matter what your opinion of Obama is....he carried himself in a professional manner and treated people with respect....

You saw that being mirrored at the professional level. At least...I noticed. Especially after the Good Ole Boys Bush Regime.

Now....chaos, irrational decision making and just all around inappropriate behaviour is starting to creep in.

The crap I've witnessed in the last few months from executives feels like we stepped back twenty years.

is something happening in many countries around the world, simply put is the last breath of the old pluto in leo generation fixed in their old way, and putting on a tantrum because they fear all the changes happening in the very fabric of society, banking, culture and religion, like most leo anything when losing you see the worst they have.

You don't have clearly delineated battle lines per se as the first American civil war.

This means people living in the same neighborhood might be on opposite sides as it were. If the balloons go up into a full blown conflict, all bets are off.

As to the technological argument, most powerful military, etc., that's all fine and dandy......

Until the guy driving the tank has to take piss.

Or the supply trucks don't show up because they were ambushed.

Or the military itself takes sides within it's own ranks.

Or the nice old lady who brought cookies to whatever function fades into the background of the general population when after a bunch of people who ate them fall ill.

Or law enforcement and military is tied down maintaining cities when EBT cards flash zero, the power grid goes down, and a whole host of other things, plus staying on alert in case a foreign power decides to take advantage of the situation.
