Cancer sun/Aqua moon guy

I'm seeing this cancer guy with an aqua moon, early leo venus and taurus mars. I've never dated a Cancer with an airy moon so I'm curious about how it's like since Cancer rules the moon i'd say it should be quite prominent; He does have a huge humanitarian soul and is completely selfless. I got a small taste of his Taurus mars because he talks a lot about his finances too and pays for our dates even though I hate being paid for.

Have you guys had any experience with these placements in a relationship? Cancer people are very nurturing but the Aqua archetype is sort of cold?
I think he's genuinely sweet though and I can see this working out if I put some more effort and stop being so individualistic but we're both oddballs in our own ways which is fun.

I don't know his ascendant unfortunately but he's tall and lanky and very sociable, I'd go with an air or fire ascendant.
