In general it's sort of an early to mid 20s thing to be into the chase. People generally have more important things to worry about at some point and will just move onto someone else rather than fixate, as they mature and figure out who they themselves are.
Not all men. I don't fall under this stereotype, and I don't really pursue women I only want sex from. If I pursue someone, I usually want to get to know her. In the rare cases that I am only interested in sex, I make it known and rather not play any stupid 'hard to get' games.

It depend of the quality of the chase. If you open your legs the first day don't expect loyalty.
But I admit there is pretty dumb guy too. Like I've read there was a guy who chased a girl like one month then one night stand her. Pretty creepy and horrible too. Me after two week I've got a rules. If I keep continuing the chase I admit being in couple or I stop for not hurting anyone.

Yeah, I think guys like the chase. I've never actually seen it work out well when the woman likes the man more. Somehow, the guy seems to sense it and takes advantage. Usually, it's when the man isn't that attracted to the woman and/or feels she's too dependent on him.
