How do you get a Gemini man to respect you?

Not my relationship, a friend's. We're both dating Gemini man. I want to help her with her boyfriend as I believe in the power of Astrology!!

They started dating back in December. They went through rough patches. Main one being Gem's crazy Libra ex harassing my friend (A Libra also) and telling her that her boyfriend was with her, still talking to her and hooking up. All lies, but as the relationship is somewhat new, it created a doubt in my friend's mind. They fought a lot about it.

Gem however has been lying about a few things related to women.
-He lied about talking to another ex and staying in contact with her. He told my friend he was done with her, but turned out, they sexted once after he started dating.
-He lied about the nature of a friendship with a woman, sexted with her once also after he started dating my friend.

My Libra friend is very forgiving and believe in giving chances. So she gave him chances.
Except, each time, Gem said he was sorry, only to go and do something else and lie again. Words are words for Air signs, that I know. So he plays the pity card, "I'm sorry, I'm a shitty person, you deserve better" and then the next day asking for forgiveness and begging for her attention.
Which she gives him. They talk, it's fine. Then 2 days later, another lie about the sex he sexted.

She reached her limit and want Gem to respect her.

Can it be done? How?

It can't be done. He's just not a respectful or respectable person.

Each second longer she stays with this asswipe is further cementing proof to him that she's a doormat.

Which not only doesn't do anything to increase respect, it actively kills it.

She should dump that chump and find someone else who's capable of being a decent person.
