Observations and questions

Hay i was thinking pretty much all we talk about in here with astrology is relationships which at first to me i thought was stupid because its a waste of some amazing cosmic divine thingy but actually in some way it could kind of save the world because if everone was paired up perfectly then we woudent have broken homes and divorce rates "maybe" lol......astrology is this cosmic phenomenon that has us all acting a certain way as individuals....and yeh we use astrology as some sort of guideline on how to relate to each other....

but how have u used astrology to relate to yourself?? and how has it helped? have u become a better person?

I read that as an aquarian I'm cold detatched blah blah blah and for me to reach my potential I need to look inside myself and get in touch with my emotions but I havent even yet begin to understand how.

I'm not sure if astrology has made me a better person more like an outcast because I'm the only one who wants to talk about it in the real world i find that I've been alienating myself more talking abou it to people cos they dont understand...perhaps I'm alienating myself....well I am lol but asking people what starsign they are and using astrology to catergorise people is that a good way to do it?.......is anyone on here an astrologer? are we even astrologists because we talk about it all the time?.....who is a popular astrologist and how do they live? are they socially amazing people who get on with everyone or are they hermits?....whos got answers?

Not talking about astrology doesn't make you an outcast, it just like anything else you are interested in and keep to yourself. Nothing work with that, not everyone has to now about what you are into.

However, for those that put it out in the open, it's nothing wrong with that either. My cancer friend and I talk about astrology all the time actually ^_^.

If you think its stupit then why post here?

don't ask people their starsign. ask them their birthday. that way you'll know what decan they are too. and it makes a difference. after a while, you could even get a decent feel for what signs other planets might have been at the time or their birth.

for me, the main use of astrology in interpersonal interraction is that it gives me excuses for people's quirks. like, if a guy is a cocky asshole and also a leo, i'll be a lot more forgiving because leo guys tend to be cocky. i still won't want to be around him, but at least i won't hate him.

or you can figure out that you and another person have incompatible personalities. so if you don't get along, it's not because one of you is a bad person. maybe you're just different. or maybe if two of your friends have soooo much in common but hate each other, you can find a glaringly obvious reason for it if you compare their birth charts.

i've mentioned before that astrology describes the WHYs more than the WHATs, so it helps me understand why someone does something or predict how they'll respond to a situation.

astrology hasn't necessarily changed me, but it's explained things about me and my interractions with people. it's showed me that it's more likely that certain issues i have have more to do with the time of my birth than how my parents raised me. me being weird isn't their fault. i've gained a lot of sympathy for them, in fact, for having to deal with a kid who basically never let on how she felt, while also being so passive when it came to initiating interractions than someone would have to be an actual mindreader to have known. when my grandpa died, i cried myself to sleep every night, but i never said i was sad, and nobody thought to ask.

in dating, i would hold my cards close, then guys would move on because they didn't know i liked them. now i force myself to tell them how much i like them, even though i'm risking turning them off, just because i'd rather things not work out because i said too much than worry that i missed out on something good because i wouldn't say anything.

my mercury is conjuct my pluto in scorpio, which are both square both my asc and moon, which are conjuct in leo. my venus is also in scorpio.

i've also learned to smile more, because the libra smile is a powerful thing.

Ha. So true, TV. Although, I enjoy occasionally freaking people out with my random astrological input.

the subtlest way of asking their sign is to ask their birthday.

for people concerned with sounding like a crazy person...give a disclaimer really early, as soon as the slightest bit of judgement creeps up on their face, that most of what's written in basic books isn't very inaccurate (which it is) and that horoscopes in magazines are never right (also true). though "free will astrology" actually is worth reading. i've been positively spooked after reading my horoscope(s) after the week has passed to discover how accurately it described my week. it's the only good one i've seen, though. this week i need to be flabbergasted by stunning beauty. i can get behind that.
