Hi guys,

I recently moved to a new company, and noticed that lesbian couple worker shows signs of interest in me, like joking, teasing why am I ignoring her, making eye contact, trying to help me or stand next to me..

I am a straight girl, first it seemed annoying, but more I worked with her,I saw she has a nice personality, very helpful and we became friends, more texting. She was happy.

She has a girlfriend and they seem well and happy together. Which is great.

Do you think straight and les.can be friends?

I don't have lot of friends and I guess her helping me, made me feel like protected somehow in new place.

Is it a bad idea?

Thank you guys👋

Try not to read into things that are not there.

She probably befriended you to help you settle more easily into your new workplace.

Not sure why you think straight women and lesbians can't be friends....this is 2018, isn't it?

I have a handful of LGBT friends...they're human beans and capable of anything a 'normal' person is capable of.

Of course, thank you!! click to expand

No problemo. A person's sexual preference shouldn't have any say in whether or not ya'll can be friends. Look more into how they are as a person, not who they're attracted to. Life will be easier that way, but just my two-cents 🙂
