There is no such thing as a physical soul, hence there is no scientific proof of same. Similarly our minds are not a part of our biological make up. I believe that in our quest to understand ourselves / to self actualize, these terms were coined by philosophers to better explain our existence. They are basically products/results of the varied and complicated functioning/processes of our brain. Who we are spiritually, our soul, our thoughts, our personalities, our consciousness are directly related to our environment and how we are socialized. This means, though we are all different, we all share/posses those intangible/insubstantiable aspects. These are what define us.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Though I still find it amusing how she made this thread when she believes she possesses people's souls. Delusions of grandeur or insanity? Either way...LOL. Good post imo!

because that post says that our minds are NOT part of our biological makeup...and arm a gettin when i asked u what our mind was u said it was the brain. sooo which is it.

LOL! Wtf...I did say the brain and mind are the same thing. What I believe CapGurl was saying with the biological makeup statement is that our thinking process are not hereditary i.e. biologically/genetically passed down and that our thoughts, how we react, and how we behave are yes, all due to the environments we are exposed to. Although closely related, biological does not equal physiological.
