you brought up drug dealers to assert that we all have preferences. i find it foolish that you think that the majority of folks in LDRs "prefer" distance AND that you would liken that preference to dating a criminal...as if there's some affliction on the part of those who get in LDRs.

Look, I'm not going to continue to argue with you b/c 1. My opinion is NOT going to change. 2. Your opinion is YOUR opinion & anyone disagreeing with you doesn't make them any less/more intelligent or realistic than you are. You disagreed with something I said & when I gave you my mindset behind my original viewpoint, you continued to disagree. And hey, that's fine. Everything in life isn't so black/white. There's a GREY area sometimes. And there are a million ways of looking at something.

There are probably 1 million things that you wouldn't necessarily deal with, but does that make you any less intelligent or any less realistic than those who chose to deal with the things you wouldn't? NO. We're all adults here. For me, I'm going to just agree to disagree with you. End of story. Moving on....

i'm merely pointing out that your beliefs are made on false and highly unrealistic assumptions. you could've left at, i don't think they're cool but you want to write a book explaining why this/that is. well, the more you write, the more it becomes apparent that what the ruler you use to make your judgments is not only crooked...it's broked.

Last time I checked, I didn't think anyone paid you to decide who was intelligent, realistic or "crooked." There might be 100 people that disagree AND agree with me. What, are all the people who agree with me "crooked" or "unrealistic" too? I'm not going to change the wording in how I made my point of view clear to you. I'm not going to to re-write my sentence starting with "Ok, I don't think they're cool" just b/c you don't agree with what I REALLY said. I may be unrealistic to you, which is fine..It's not like I'm going to go cry b/c some random person on an internet site disagrees with me or calls me names. But for me, my viewpoints are based on EXPERIENCE within my OWN life AND hearing the experiences of your very own buddies who are alllllll for LDR's. Telling me our experiences are unrealistic is almost like saying our experiences didn't happen. You are not me & you have not gone through what I have, nor do we have an even similar personality, so I wasn't necessarily counting on you OR ANYONE on this site to agree with me.

I don't get on DXP to collect brownie/cool points. And yes, while I am very thorough when I write, it's obvious that you didn't have THAT much of a problem with my "book" or else we wouldn't still be having this conversation. Anyone who is familiar with my mindset or way of thinking/writing on this site knows that my world is NOT going to be over just b/c someone disagrees with me, b/c all that matters is that MY reality may not be your reality or anyone elses & it's just as "unrealistic" to expect any different. It's simple. I don't go seeking LDR's, NOR do I knock those who do. How was that? @Skuddles...wow it's amazing how people supposedly grow to "know you" through dxp. They can disagree with you over a subject & magically start making general statements about your character & personality as if this site were a big ole IQ test lol. Will your opinion change no matter how many people disagree with you? I bet it won't. And it HASN'T yet. I can't believe you people resort to name-calling, just to go back & say that I'm the one who needs help. Wow. Chill out people. If you don't like/agree with what I have to say then don't read my posts & keep it moving. After all, I don't see anyone pointing a gun at neither of your heads, forcing you to read/respond anything I write.

Oh & by the way, I am HAPPILY married thanks. And I don't see neither of you boasting about how WONDERFUL your relationships/marriages are. It's amazing, for a person to be so insistent on LDR's or anything else working, I sure rarely see any posts from neither of you guys about the happiness you have with your LDR partners ;~) Butttt anywho...on to the next one.
