^^This^^ rhetorical diversion makes absolutely no sense in the context of our discussion. Clearly, you are unable to separate your emotions from your logic. Strange, because you often seem to accuse others of doing the exact same thing.


This is called 'projection'.


And as far as how I sleep at night.....I sleep in a warm bed, beside my awesome boyfriend, with our cat usually on one of our pillows.

I'm saying when security becomes more important than the two people involved in relationship, you've pretty much f**ked up.

Equally you could also argue that when two people who are in a relationship who are just having fun they don't think of security they just want to live in the moment are deluded and as selfish.

Aqualeo, I dunno to be honest. If I enjoyed the hell out of someone, had so much fun with them and felt at ease whenever I was in ther company, I'd want them in my life forever, wouldn't you?

Security will pop up at some juncture in the relationship and it will be for selfish reasons as well.

You'd want that person all to yourself and that person will want you all to themselves. That is a great reason to make permanent plans.

But you know just going with any guy or girl because they're available and you're available and they want the same things you want is't such a hot idea if you don't actually enjoy them.

After all, you'll be waking up next to them, defending them, be around them etc everyday for the rest of your life.

Gotta pick wisely.

Why is it not such a hot idea?

To me that shows compatibility, it's a starting point.

Feelings do not put food on the table, buy necessities, a commitment to do this does.

I actually wouldn't be comfortable with someone who is just having fun.

If you can offer security and balance it with fun I can lower my guard.

In my life I always ask in everything I do where is this going?

To friends and family I ask are you adding value to my life?

If not I have to ask why you are around and establish boundaries and/or make tough decisions.

It's the same thing with this lady it's just her issue is a man

The motive is not the problem it's maybe her tough way of putting it out

You DON'T think about things, you've still got nothing to worry about, because my judgement should mean NOTHING to you.

Hell, it was aimed at your beliefs, indirectly of course, but you seem to forget that this thread isn't about you, Jade.

Neither are all the b**ching and whinning threads you don't want to hear about but still comment in anyway.

You should have nothing to worry about if you aren't like the girls described in these threads.

Or, if your conscience is clear, of course.

By the way the whole do you have a girlfriend thing is taunting 🙂

Who knows in real life you could be Mother Theresa incarnate.

But reading what you say and infering what you don't makes me doubt that.

And to like each other you have to have fun around each other. And I don't mean sex when I say fun.

The point isn't to tell women how to live. It's to stir sympathy. Most went off on FB without seeing his point of view.

I see the girl's point. But happiness is personal. And she sounded like she was out for the universal "Hey, I'm a relevant human being" kind of happiness. Which is easy to get, of course.

Kinda like Jade Dragon trying to taunt me with her love life actually lol

Never a good thing if you're trying to prove to others how happy you are.

For the love of all that is holy, never EVER say the following to a guy on the first, let alone blind date even.

"I just bought a new house, and adopted two dogs. I'm only looking for a serious and permanent relationship. I dont want to date for half a year and then find out I wasted my time. Are you ok with that?"

What a freakin' nightmare...
