I love men who where glasses I just love glasses on a man. I'm not sure why, its something about a guy who where's glasses.

As someone that is as American as it gets but isn't —white??, I understand some of what you??re going through. I can't say I necessarily agree with labeling it as a social issue specific to the —Black Man?? as much as by-product of our American society. For me, it's never really mattered. If she's hot, she's hot 😛
When I was younger, I had SEVERAL experiences where I was chasing someone white and when she introduced me to her parents, they had to excuse themselves and question their daughter on —What are you thinking being with that boy!??
Similarly, when I was younger, I remember when there was this one girl who had a thing for me, she was black, and we were hanging out together with a bunch of her friends. From what she told me is that her friends gave her crap for not being with a —brotha??.
Anyways, I'm responding not to make a social commentary but perhaps have you look at it from a different point of view.
—Yes, love should see no color. Unfortunately, in some cases it does. This is a fact of life. I am not saying that this is right, but it's truth. If you do not believe that there is a breakdown in the Black community between men and women, I encourage you to look up the statistics. Do your research and then maybe you will gain a greater perspective as to why race plays a role in this topic. I ask that you not just base your opinion on a WORLD issue off you, your peers and your direct experiences. Educate yourself on this topic, and then we can have a real discussion about this.??
I don't disagree with this and I acknowledge the —disconnect?? as shown in my above experiences but at the end of the day??_Unless you plan on dedicating your whole life's work to some epic social change, realistically you can only focus on YOU. How YOU turn out and how YOU treat others. Of course, at least thats what I say.
I think what made it a social issue is all those idiots who would go on talk shows back in the 90s.
Do you know what I'm talking about. I think Ricky Lake was one of the main ones where all the sparks flew. I would watch alot of the talk shows when I would be on break from school when I was younger and thats the kind of stuff I watched. My mom didnt care as long as I watched them with my dad because she thought he would change the channel when things got ugly -- especially on Jerry Springer ..... but he never ever did LOL! I watched it all ^_^.
I learned about social issues early, before touching on it in school.
