She is too fat now—

What is wrong with people— My friend called me sobbing because her bf of 3 years dumped her because he said that he couldnt take her being overweight anymore. He said the last 3 years have been very hard for him. He has tried everything to get her to loose weight but nothing has worked. She is like WTF!

She was overweight when they met. She never said she would loose weight if they started the relationship either. Actually going through my photos of her from 3 years ago, she is smaller.

What makes people think that their potential s/o's are projects? thats why i gringe when women say, "girl he is a work in progress but all that negative stuff about him, i can change him" i just shake my head. like they dont have something about themselves that need improvement.

He probably just grew tired of her and needed an excuse to get out.

Well the trainer at my gym always says " if you don 't like how you look, what makes you think someone else will?". Meeting someone who is overweight is one thing. However watching them each french fry after french fry and chicken wing after chicken wing and donut after donut everyday and not saying or doing anything about it is "assisted suicide". Lets face it " fat people " don't live long. This what my doctor kept saying to me for years. While, I don't know the specifics of the relationship, I am thinking he was desperate. Desperate times calls for desperate measures. I believe this will be a catalyst in your friends life, she will either eat because she is depressed and become bigger or she will lose the weight to show the dude. Let's hope for the latter. While the ideal scenario would be for her to lose weight for herself this really is a life or death situation. So by any means neccessary.... Help her get the weight off.

I am overweight and Salt is correct most people who are overweight have something else going on and obesity is but a symptom of something much greater.

This is what kills me about people. I can see if she gained a massive amount of weight over the years, but if he met her like that then it's foul to pull the move he did. That's why you can't trust some folks. He went in knowing he didn't approve of her weight and basically strung her along for those three years for whatever reason. Now she's broken smh.

Nobody put a gun to his head to accept her in the first place...so why did he last 3 yrs with her? Oh I know she must have had him kidnapped..Really? I would understand if he met her and she was overweight and he chose not to date her..Ok we all have our preference and taste, some like them short, skinny, fat, thick whatever, but don't tell me you noticed after 3 yrs that she was fat...Really? Dumb ass!!

There is other ways to go about this...I would understand if he is doing it for health reasons, and tries to help her..with love...But his love is shallow and fake...You don't leave someone you truly love just because they gained weight..Tell her she should feel relief that he left, he is not real, he is a coward. Tell her to continue to lose weight and be beautiful for her not for any man. I bet you that since he is that shallow when she gets to a comfortable size he will come crawling back, and then that's when she should kick him on the chin and say *c ya biatch* If you care about someone and truly love them you would unite with them and even work out with them and be there for them, do you know how good you would feel and also knowing that you helped the one you love to achieve what they wanted? And to stay healthy? It means a lot.🙂

I so agree with you...But after 3 yrs he noticed she was fat? Uh I dont think so...I do agree that he is looking for an excuse to leave her. Some men dont have the cojones to come up to the person they have been for yrs and give hem the respect to tell them why they want to leave..No one should be forced to be with anyone they don't feel good with.😉But they deserve the truth. Dont give excuses.

oh no she not that. she is 5'8 and she weighs 158lbs now, when she met him she weighed 172 lbs.

but see the thing is, she was overweight when he met her. he was falling all over her in the begining. i was so happy for her. but now she is 'too fat'. she told me today that he thought he could make into the woman he felt she deserved to be. umm thats not your job buddy. its up to her to do that. and she didnt loose that weight from his encouragement. she started swimming with me and she asked me to teach her. so he can stick it where the sun dont shine.

if a person does not meet your physical preferences, dont date them. i wish i did find out my fiance dated me because he thought he could change me into what he wanted. all of this shit would be over bottom line. im not a fucking project!

I agree with you both. but those issues are hers to figure out, she doesnt need a man dating her like she is an experiment. that doesnt help her issues, if she even has any.

well tbh, i dont think she is overweight. but she says she is overweight and her ex called her fat when he was breaking up with her. sooo....also, i thought she just wanted to swim with me to tone up. like my friend told me, you never know what people look like with their clothes off unless your sleeping with them.

I think it was a cop out. Someone said it earlier in the post that he was just tired of her and wanted a reason to leave. It's a huge dick move but I think so too. Three years? Come on. You know it wasn't actually an issue. Real reason was he was just tired of her, found someone else he was interested in, etc.

And some dudes feel like their girl has to be drop dead gorgeous just because they themselves arent trying to prove something to people....like hey guys i can get a hot girl look at me.
