I dunno, never taken social media seriously, but then I started dating a girl who has 3000 followers, and she cares about her selfies and photographs and all that, I don’t really have any followers on Instagram and I just have my friends on Facebook, like it’s meant to be that. But then I can’t help but think the girl I was dating, she wants a guy that has a good social media score.. for photos with him, just sounds ridiculous but are there women out there like that? I doubt guys are like that. Except you look on Instagram and the women with loads of followers, they have to have a guy with loads of followers too, or is that coincidence?

oh trust me man, those types of girls exist. Just avoid them at all costs, it's not even worth it if they care about small stuff like that. the last one i was with, i was essentially just her photographer as opposed to a bf. "this would look so good on ig, shoot me here, and here, and here........................" u get the idea.

We all do shit we'd rather not in relationships.Compromise and all that. Is taking pictures of your hot gf really that painful for you?

It would be interesting to know who cares more about social media score of their dates? The man or woman?

Would be funny for a woman to lose followers when she uploads photos of herself with her new boyfriend.

Dating someone who cares more about social media score than having a good career, has the character to be a good spouse and parent. No thanks.

You do realize that many, MANY people use social media as a tool to grow their career/buisness.

Well, I know I shouldn’t have been reading the comments and I wish I’d never actually looked at her social media. But when we were out, it did kinda feel like she was just doing it for the social media pics. And she saw herself as some sort of celebrity. But also reading the hundreds of posts from random guys telling her she was hot. I think it got to me, she started pulling away and not messaging me back properly. Yesterday I was really persistent on the text messages. Accidentally asked her three times to let me know when she was around. It might not be over but I think I was a bit rude, and she’s out of town next week, but due to vacations I haven’t seen her in three weeks already. But the other thing is, she’s an exotic dancer, so hundreds of photos half naked on social media. It was a lot to take. And she lives for excitement, I don’t know exactly how she feels about me. But I just couldn’t stop panicking about it ending, and now I think it has but I’ll never know for sure, was it me killing it, was she not interested, is it still on now, do I go to the club to say goodbye and talk. I can’t do anything now until it’s calmed down I think.

You should know if you want to be someone who has such profession to understand it as work related and should not be bothered by comments other people make. Having more or less comments from random people will not make anyone more or less prone to cheating. Even the ugly ones can cheat and even the prettiest ones can be loyal so something like that isn't a measure for how one acts in life. But if you can't deal with it you should stay away from people with such jobs. In your first post you described mostly shallow superficial women and I was going to say who even wants to date someone like that but your story is clearly about something else
I think you’re right. I just have a hard time accepting it’s over because it wasn’t a clean break up, she might be interested but not enough, or she might be keeping me in the background until she knows what she’s doing. But either way I think I have to disappear for my own sake. It was great at the start but for whatever reasons, things have changed and I need to go into survival mode. I just really liked this one. The social media thing has nothing to do with it actually.
