Apparently I give off the impression of flirting with somebody even though I don't mean to :o
Wtf is vocal liking? I could tell someone in my most seductive tone of voice "dude you're the biggest piece of shit ever" and they'd get hooked? Ignoring the message.
I don't even know why I'm posting. I am utterly hopeless. In my despair I was looking for a formula to compile in my Virgo brain.
"I like you" -> that just about sums up my "flirting" lmao
"Overall, ask yourself, —What would James Bond do— "
Talk about going against impossible standards here..

Science says we shouldn't even bother with flirting because whatever the poor chap is doing..it will repel us.
I'd also like to point out that back in 1967 dating still made sense.
The modern world? No one knows what the fuck they're doing. The blind leading the blind.
some males do need to learn how to flirt...
my god yes..
cool subtlety is key to approach fellow human beings.

haha i like that!
Yeah I'm sure were all clueless at points but surely our bodies do show more than what we say. I don't think all nonverbal signs have a fixed meaning though. Some signs might be considered standard flirting, others coincidence i guess. A woman might be simply used to playing with her wrist or hair, not trying to attract anyone. But still, you can tell a lot from what a person is trying to say by observing their gestures.

But you're not gonna use that tone in real life you're gonna tell someone they're basically the biggest shit ever. Vocal cues include your voice's pitch, speed etc. If you like someone, not just the "i like you" shows it. Sure you can be direct when it comes to that (Which is mostly considered good). But as humans we don't really think before doing everything in our body since most actions are subconscious. Vocal cues are mostly that.
Here's a more reliable source.

Sometimes we subconciously do things for purposes in mind. I read so many flirting signs that I didn't think were considered flirting. But thinking again, I realised they might actually have been used for that...
Total Liking = 7% Verbal Liking + 38% Vocal Liking + 55% Facial Liking (Mehrabian,1967)
The 55% apparently include body language, so what do you think?
Are there any specific moves you use to flirt/attract someone?
Any moves you specifically like when done by others ?
side note:
- I do realize Mehrabian's experiments had limitations and were criticised by some, but a lot of other studies do point out the extreme importance of body language in social interactions and especially attraction.
