Do you know Jesus Christ?

Hi guys.

I don't know where to post this, but the Lord has been laying it on my heart for the past few days to tell people about Jesus. This burden is so strong that I have felt sick and very desperate to reach out to others and tell them about Jesus. I asked my Pastor if there were any ministries I could do through my church to serve God, but all he said to me was that if there was anything, he'd let me know. God has been driving me to serve Him so bad that I don't think I can wait much longer for an answer from my Pastor, I am desperate here and I don't think he understands just how urgent it is to witness to the lost. People are dying and going to Hell. That is no laughing matter.

So I am going to write a post and witness to the lost on here...

Dear person much loved by the Lord,

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners like you and me. Have you ever thought about what happens after you die? I have. It has brought me much anxiety thinking about it, because I know that this life does not last forever and one day, we all will die.

A lot of people today do not think about where they will spend eternity, and this thinking is a big mistake.

But what happens after death? The Bible is the only book that can tell us what happens to us after we die. God Himself wrote this great book; it is probably the most important book that was ever written.

Do you mind if I quote some scriptures? Some people get offended when I quote the Bible, but I never do. Do you know why? Because I am a Christian and I believe that Jesus is my Saviour. The Bible says so. And with that being said, I will give you some Bible verses to help you and educate you.

So what happens after we die? The Bible teaches that man is a tripart being composed of spirit, soul, and a fleshly body. At death, our souls separate from our body and goes back to God to be judged by Him. God will judge everything we do in the body, whether good or bad.

But here is the bad news. You see, nobody is truly a good person. You see, only God is truly good.

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever hated anyone? If you have, then you have sinned. Killing others is also a sin, and yet you hear every day on the news that someone has murdered somebody else. Why? Because mankind are sinners and on their way to a burning Hell.

Rom 3:23 :

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Now that you know that no one is good in God's eyes, how do we then become good? How do we become vindicated before God? The Bible teaches that we need to have Jesus' righteousness but the only way to do that is to come to Him by faith:

Rom 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So you see that you need to believe in your heart that God raised up Jesus from the dead, and you also need to confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

If you die without Christ, you will spend eternity in Hell. In our modern world today, people think that Hell is a place of never-ending parties and good times. They think that all of their friends will be there. But that is far from the truth. You would think that these people have never read the Bible, or that they have never taken it seriously.

The Bible teaches that Hell is a place of never-ending fire and torment, and my dear friend, that is not very much fun (this truth has scared a lot of people). It is a place of tears and no hope. It is darkness and loneliness. You won't be able to see anyone at all. It is eternal separation from God Himself. Since God is the Source of Joy and Happiness, that means that everything apart from Him is tears, sorrow, and no happiness. And that does not sound like very much fun at all, doesn't it?

So my dear friend, for your own eternal safety, I pray that you will accept Jesus Christ into your heart today, and make Him Lord over your life.

If you have done this, you need to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in God's Word. And you also need to find out what God wants you to do with your life, so that you may serve Him.

Hi Jacqueline,

Yes! I know my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I am Roman Catholic and believe in the Holy Trinity (The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). I attend mass at work (I work for the Army) on Mondays, go to mass w/the family on Sundays, and I attend Holy Bible Study (over 13 years now) at work during my lunch hour (TRs; Thursdays; like today).

It's GOOD to know there are Christian people in DXP (believers). There is so much evil and non believers in this forum that I DUCK (or block them) when I encounter them. I have many, many testimonies to share with you (and others!). When I go to mass, I also stay to do the Holy Rosary. I had given (in petition) my son, Andrew (30 yrs old) to my Father (Abba) in heaven knowing he would restore him back to his Christianity (from drugs). I have rebuked satin (and so does my son) and my son has been drug free!!!! My son volunteers, when he came to visit he saw my RX I had in the cabinet (dental) and told me to get rid of it...I did! My son now showers every day, brushes his teeth every day, he wears suits, and he is a productive man! My prodigal son has returned to me!!!!

I was born an atheist but since I remember I was always wondered how do we move without any chargers! So however they his God from us - everyone knew about Him. Some choose to laugh - some believed and prayed secretly.

Coming to USA I didn't have much time to think of a religion. But when my business started to fall - I went to Catholic Church whenever I could because it was across the street and prayed like never before!

I stayed for rosary and my favorite were Monday's in a lower chapel when church was open whole day and you can come and pray in total silence and peace.

So what if I am not Carholic? God is one and for all!

In about 6 months my life turned to a new chapter of it. God helped me. I swear one time I was hysterical and desperate and I said Jeaus, will you help me? And I've looked in the statue eyes and he closed his eyes and opened it again!

Maybe I was imagining but it was real for me.

So I am not imposing my believes on anyone BUT one moment here - and I was given this tip by my very old friend.

You don't have to go to church. Choose a quiet corner and talk to God and tell him anything you want and prize him and ask for forgiveness and express your wish however small it is - he will help you.

But remember - he doesn't help on your terms. He sees time differently. It's going to happen on HIS terms. But it will happen just on time.

No it's the religion itself that is evil.

You can't ignore the wrathful Old Testament god who gives instructions on the frequency and strength you should beat your slaves, how to sell your daughters into sexual slavery, and the best ways to murder gays. Especially as they are one and the same...the father, the son, and the Holy Ghost.

People want to say gay people are immoral and sinful and yet they eat bacon every day of the week. Both are a death-by-stoning offense. You can't pick and choose which words to honor and which words to ignore. It's a packaged deal.

There are good Christian people out there for sure. But the religion itself is fucked up.

Most religions are based off the same myths... With a lot of the same characters. Christmas and easter were pagan holidays the Christians stole. It's all what you choose to believe. And i believe none of it. And am doing just fine!

To your other post what I've learned during my close communication with religious people is: Old Testament where God whipped wveeyrhing he created and started anew with Noah - he sent Jeaus to pay for human sins and after Jesus's death all sins wiped out if you take him as a savior.

I think brains of the ancient world decided that people wouldn't easily believe in God who is punishing - they would be scared and reluctant to take this religion close to heart. They had created a nice guy who is all forgiving. That's how Christianity went up and consumed a lot of people.

Which was nessesary to stop violence and sexual freedom wich broad down Rom.

Plenty of Christians saying there is no hell.

Catholics saying there is. To me I believe in hell on earth. Afterlife IMO is heaven for everybody regardless. Soul can't be tortured. It's transparent. It can't feel heat or cold. So eternal fire can't burn the soul.

And when they speaking of falling skin - souls don't have any.

So we have options to believe in what we want to believe in. Let's just don't be extremists in our believes.

Well Christianity came from a lot of the Mithras of the Greek, it has easily stolen from here and there. I see signs like evangelical monstary and it's all Buddhist teachings that have been indoctrinated to fit the religious contradictions of certain sects of Christianity. Meditation and yoga have been totally been hijacked into Christian thought with not even addressing the spiritual meaning of meditation and yoga which is Hindu to the core it's sad but this is how misconceptions are born.

Jesus is a copy of the savior myth...and a parody of sun worship. What do you say now?

Hey hopefully it will be a sweet burn ? And the generalization that we are all Christian and will be saved by being reborn not for me... First I don't believe we are born sinners, please reevaluate what ever faith you come from having critical discourse and if it's not for you than search other avenues. When I started learning teachings about Hinduism and Buddhism the priests monks were awesome, I would have active discourse and understanding about all the faiths. I disagreed with a lot of issues and they always were open for debate, it is radical different when you learn with an open mind are not condescending and don't force it on people.

I'm still agnostic/atheist and they don't care they believe in there god/gods but still accept me and there is no fear tactics or conversion involved. Its part of the belief system and I can go to temple and still be me. I have a lot of respect for Buddhism and teachings of Hinduism, especially Vedantic.

Sugar coating is not good for both sides we have to learn and respect what ever your path is follow but don't force it on to others.

Lol I'm not expecting to change anyone here. I made peace with religion a long time ago. If only Christians would actually READ their bible and see how their religion is founded on the back of inhumanity and pure evil.

I don't think organised religion has any place in modern society. EXCEPT when it comes to being a part of a culture and tradition.

If you did just the bare amount of research on history during that time period you'd see the correlation between the Hebrews led by Moses who systematically killed and destroyed many peoples and took their land.

And the victors always write history. I very highly doubt that Sodom was full of gang rapey dudes. Why not satisfy their lusts with one another if that was the case? No, the victors re-wrote history and justified their genocide by saying those people were evil and deserved to be murdered.

This 'word of god' was to enable the people and forgive these heinous crimes because 'GOD demanded it". Religion exists to control and dominate people.

Abortion:

Hosea 9:11-16 Hosea prays for God’s intervention. “Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. Give them, 0 Lord: what wilt thou give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. . .Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.” Clearly Hosea desires that the people of Ephraim can no longer have children. God of course obeys by making all their unborn children miscarry. Is not terminating a pregnancy unnaturally “abortion”?

Numbers 5:11-21 The description of a bizarre, brutal and abusive ritual to be performed on a wife SUSPECTED of adultery. This is considered to be an induced abortion to rid a woman of another man’s child.

Numbers 31:17 (Moses) “Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every women that hath known man by lying with him.” In other words: women that might be pregnant, which clearly is abortion for the fetus.

Hosea 13:16 God promises to dash to pieces the infants of Samaria and the “their women with child shall be ripped up”. Once again this god kills the unborn, including their pregnant mothers.

2 Kings 15:16 God allows the pregnant women of Tappuah (aka Tiphsah) to be “ripped open”. And the Christians have the audacity to say god is pro-life. How and the hell is it that Christians can read passages where God allows pregnant women to be murdered, yet still claim abortion is wrong?

Infanticide:

1 Samuel 15:3 God commands the death of helpless “suckling” infants. This literally means that the children god killed were still nursing.

Psalms 135:8 & 136:10 Here god is praised for slaughtering little babies.

Psalms 137:9 Here god commands that infants should be “dashed upon the rocks”.

The murdering of children:

Leviticus 20:9 “For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.”

Judges 11:30-40 Jephthah killed his young daughter (his only child) by burning her alive as a burnt sacrifice to the lord for he commanded it.

Psalms 137:8-9 Prayer/song of vengeance “0 daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.”

2 Kings 6:28-29 “And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.”

Deuteronomy 21:18-21 “If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold. And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place. And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.” To put it very bluntly this poor, young lady was murdered by her mate for being raped.

Exodus 12:29 God killed, intentionally, every first-born child of every family in Egypt, simply because he was upset at the Pharaoh. And god caused the Pharaoh’s actions in the first place. Since when is it appropriate to murder children for their ruler’s forced action?

Exodus 20:9-10 God commands death for cursing out ones parents Joshua 8 God commanded the deaths of 12,000 men, women, and children of Ai. They were all slain in the ambush that was planned by god.

2 Kings 2:23-24 The prophet Elisha, was being picked on by some young boys from the city because of his bald head. The prophet turned around and cursed them in the Lords name. Then, two female bears came out of the woods and killed forty-two of them. You would think that God could understand that sometimes the youthful make childish jokes. Calling someone “bald head” is far from being worthy of death.

Leviticus 26:30 “And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.”

1 Samuel 15:11-18 God repents of having made Saul king since Saul refused to carry out God’s commandments (i.e., Saul refused to murder all the innocent women and children.) At least god realizes what an immoral, murderous pig he is on this one.

I Kings 16:34 Laying the foundation for a city using your firstborn child and using your youngest son to set up the gates.

Isaiah 13:15-18 If God can find you, he will “thrust you through,” smash your children “to pieces” before your eyes, and rape your wife.

Jeremiah 11:22-23 God will kill the young men in war and starve their children to death.

Jeremiah 19:7-9 God will make parents eat their own children, and friends eat each other.

Lamentations 2:20-22 God gets angry and mercilessly torments and kills everyone, young and old. He even causes women to eat their children.

Child abuse:

Genesis 22:9 & 10 “And they came to the place which God had told him of and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.” It matters not that god let Abraham get out of murdering Isaac. To put a knife up to your son’s throat is child abuse.

I Kings 3:24-25 “And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king. And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.” This test was of course given to see who the real mother of the child was. Christians view this king as a wise man. I look upon his suggestion with far more revulsion then I give accredit to Susan Smith.

Proverbs 13:24, 19:18, 22:15, 23:13-14 & 29:15 God commands repeatedly that you beat your children.

Matthew 19:29 If you really loved Jesus then he insists that you abandon your wife and children for him. Only that way will he allow you to go to heaven. (That is if you meet his other hefty requirements, don’t slip through the loopholes, and ignore the contradictions.)

Mark 7:9 Jesus criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient children according to Old Testament law.
