is christmas really a celebration of Jesus, or goodwill? i guess it doesn't really matter in the long run, because we all need some form of both of those things in our lives to be happy. i'm sure that's fairly obvious though
wouldn't it be cool if christmas was really just the scheming of some really cool caps who wanted to spread goodwill among men and women and children everywhere? 🙂

Interesting theory, Shaka2, recalling now another birthchart stating that Jesus could have also been born a Libra, with Pisces rising..'that would indeed put his birth near the end of September/October..but then again, who really knows for certain..?? It's fun to speculate, and hey Jesus could have very well have been a fish, since he was born in the great year of Pisces, as well as Pisces being the most naturally religious of all signs. i do think though some sort of heavy chart rectification would help..'working backwards and finding which chart actually suits him the best, through houses, planets, life events, history etc, etc, etc..

I always heard he was an Aries, too. Make sense .. first.

In Roman times, Christians weren't allowed to be .. it was heiracy. However, Chritianity was taking over and the Romans decided that they would give them one day a year to celebrate without persecution .. December 25th was designated ..

.. or something like that. I don't really remember the details because it's just not something I'm into, Jesus doesn't exist to me as he does to others .. but, I seem to recall that it went something to that effect.

Apparantly, I wasn't even close .. I looked it up ..

The Romans held a festival on December 25 called Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, "the birthday of the unconquered sun." The use of the title Sol Invictus allowed several solar deities to be worshipped collectively, including Elah-Gabal, a Syrian sun god; Sol, the god of Emperor Aurelian.
December 25 was also considered to be the date of the winter solstice. It was therefore the day the Sun proved itself to be "unconquered" despite the shortening of daylight hours. The Sol Invictus festival has a "strong claim on the responsibility" for the date of Christmas, according to the Catholic Encyclopedia. Solar symbolism was popular with early Christian writers as Jesus was considered to be the "sun of righteousness."

I did a search on the gestation period, as well as mating season for sheep, since, according to christian testimony, there were not only flocks of sheep in the fields for the shepards to tend, also, there are lambs present .. which, means, whenever the lambs are still young, this is within the timeframe of Jesus's birth. I found the below on a site about raising sheep.

"Ewes are seasonal, short-day breeders. In temperate climates, nature meant for sheep to mate in mid fall, with a gestation period of five months, so that lambs would be born in the spring when the weather is mild and the grass is plentiful, thus enhancing the lambs' chances for survival."

Mid fall should put it somewhere in late Oct, early Nov .. 5 months puts it at Lambs being born in late March, early April ..

Another source states, Jesus was born on March 1, 7 BCE at 1:21 AM in Bethlehem, Judea.

This would still make him a pisces. (6 planets in pisces: sun, moon, venus, jupiter, saturn, uranus) Taking a closer look too, i noticed both Mars & Pluto were stationed in opposing Virgo -thus if this date is correct, it would greatly explain the numerous oppositions he faced during his lifetime...

Long article, source: http://sos.netonecom.net/webpub/Jayj/jesus.htm<BR>

Tradition says that Jesus was a capricorn, born on dec. 25th. However, as P-Angel noted, this was just a day chosen to celebrate his birth and is not actually his birthday. It's pretty much impossible to figure out when Jesus was born, no matter how much theologians study ancient texts. There are so many ways information could have been misinterpreted or falsely provided that there are countless opportunities to make mistakes.
Jesus did portray many things that the Pisces is known for. He was sacrificing, always careful with others emotions, and was focused on a life beyond the one here on earth. I personally think that if astrology is true, that Jesus was a Pisces. The only other sign he comes close to is an aquarius, but I think he leans towards Pisces.

I agree with you, there is still much speculation. I personally think people get too hung up on the actuality of his existence rather than the example he creates. Jesus could have been an alagory or a parabal for all I care, still made for one badass story everyone can learn from. I used to think Pices, but lately considering Cap (his fictional sign of his character anyway since we still can't prove his incarnation) Cap makes a little more sense. Cap as in the sea goat. The sign of mastery. Maybe capricorn with moon in Pices and aquarious rising...—

Its the AGE of pisces... not that Jesus was one. That's why the "washing of feet" was such a meaningful thing. We are still, and will be in the age of pisces for another 140 yrs.
Alot of things we are taught and sometimes told are not always the truth. Historians (before and thru the first century) have no record of him or his travels. The reason there are so many different birthdates, i.e. December 25th, is because people will make him whatever they want/need him to be for them.

every one knows J.C. was a capricorn. enough said

The sheep herders were tending (living with) their sheep
when The Child was born, so it was mid-fall, when they
were fattening them for dry winter season and ensuring
the summer young were not victims of peril. They would
not live with the sheep except at that time, while they
ranged them.

The December 25th date was decided centuries later.
If it's mentioned in your Bible, please correct my
ignorance.

It is important to note though that Jesus is merely
the symbol to carry the world for an "AGE" of 2150 years,
as was Moses, who destroyed the calf.

Jesus is the symbol of the Age of Pisces in which
we now live - such is why his symbol is The Fish
or sometimes represented by "Two Disciples"

Unlike sun-sign astrology where the first sign is Aries,
followed by Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra,
Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces,
whereupon the cycle returns to Aries and through the
zodiacal signs again, the astrological ages proceed in
the opposite direction or order — normally termed retrograde.

Therefore, the Age of Aquarius follows the Age of Pisces.
It has been said that we are currently shifting into the
"Aquarian Age."

Mark 14:13
And he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall
you meet a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.

And that will be the transition into the age of Aquarius
from the Age of Pisces, for which Jesus was a symbol.
