Are Pisces Known for Manipulative Traits

Pisces are often compassionate and intuitive, but some may use their emotional insight to influence others. Manipulation is not a core trait of Pisces but can occur in individuals with certain personality traits. Generally, Pisces are more known for their empathy and sensitivity than for manipulation.

Hello,

I'm new to the pisces board, and I mean no offense by my topic. I'm just curious if manipulation is a "characteristic" of yours, i.e., Scorpios are possessive, Leos are egotistical, Geminis are indecisive, etc. Is manipulative one of the traits associated with your sign?

I will talk only for myself, because I've seen some Pisceans who really play mind games.

Playing with people seriously is not in my book. I rather shut up when I don't know what to say. Some people might perceive it as manipulation, but in truth it is not.

I too have seen and have known some Pisces peoples to manipulate. Infact, one of my co-workers who was a pisces was awesome at manipulation in working sales....I watched her do her thing and I watched her get busted. Not sure if this is a sign thing because I also know Pisces who are not manipulative.

When a person is fucked up and don't know how to act and does not want to do what needed to be done, this person is being manipulated for his/her own gain. Not like Cancers who will squeeze even shit out of you to turn in into their own gain.

A person doesn't have to be f*cked up to be manipulative. It depends on the situation. If some jerk was holding a gun at your head then undoubtedly you would try to be manipulative for your own survival.

I do agree with you about Cancers though. My boss is a Cancer and I can't stand her. She's a self-serving c*nt.

Nope not sad & not in denial either - working on it & listening when people pick me up on it. I guess I didnt even notice I was doing it until someone told me I was & now I can keep checks on it & learn to be real with myself. If that makes any sense

We all have something we want, something to gain from another. We're all guilty.

Even just a suggestion that sounds innocent enough, can be interpreted as a flaw if another benefits from the pursuasion.

Whose the best at it? Just as mentioned above . . whomever allows themselves to be influenced.

Being a pisces, manipulation is second nature, i think because you are always thinking a little deeper and on an intuitive level and looking ahead to situations without realizing you are doing it while observing what is on the surface.

I try to control it as well. Manipulation is wrong unless its for your survival as someone stated. Unfortunately, i know it can come back to bite you in the *ss when anyone becomes wise to the head game. Thats why i really try to be up front and not try to create underlying senerios and manipulate situations because of a strong sense or perception of the other person for my own benefit.

what I have found is that insecure people have more of a tendency to manipulate because if they had confidence in themselves, they would be upfront and honest not needing to play mind games to get what they want. When manipulation is being used in a relationship, the relationship ususally fails.... once the other person figures it out-trust has been lost.

absolutely right...i don't know if it is an insecurity thing though, but any way you slice it, its wrong to do that😉

I think everyone has, at some point in time, been quility of being manipulative. If you don't think so, you're not fooling anyone but yourself. But I honestly cannot stomach being manipulative (even though, from the times I have been, I can admittedly say I've done it well). In fact the only times I have seen myself being manipulative is when I was in a position where I was powerless to do anything about my situation; i.e., like desperately needing my computer fixed and not having the money). Because of Pisces' unconventional/unrealistic outlook on life and need for freedom (or in other words, wanting to be just left alone to be their dreamy selves), they can often find themselves in situations where they are totally at someone else's mercy, as in on the job). So, because we live are lives so far on the periphery of reality and how the rest of the world thinks and functions, we sort of have to be manipulative at times, just to save our asses. But most of the time in these situations, noone is really hurt.

In fact, when I say I can't stomach manipulating someone for my advantage, whenever I have been quilty of it, it really plagued my conscience and I felt really badly about it even months and months later (and even when the person was not really affected by it, ie. having someone knock the price of a car down for me by a third of the price). And I really feel uncomfortable having anyone, I mean anyone do me favors, because I always feel morally indebted to them (even when they may not even feel the same). I dunno, maybe it's just me though.

I certainly would have never expected that. So, no Pisces aren't known for that. They're known to be martyrs or victims. You might be mistaking them for an Aries. Contact someone who knows Vedic Astrology or look up some Indian Zodiac books to discover how much the timing is off. It's off by about a month, and I used to be a Cancer until I found out I was a Gemini the whole time. Now it all makes more sense... Try to get that message out the next time you talk to a critic, because the time difference can represent the accuracy of Astrology the wrong way...
