Scorp update...and boy am I an idiot!

So for the past couple weeks, this Scorp has been very attentive. Calling me, texting me, making plans to go away together etc. Well one evening we were texting and in a reply, he wrote ,"Atta girl. Love you.". I didn't take it literally and sort of ignored it and replied xoxo.

Well last night I saw him and gave him an early b-day present. He just kept smiling and saying, "I can't believe you. You're so crazy. How did you get this. Omg. Thank you.". He asked me why I got him the item. I told him I knew you'd like it etc.He asked, "But why?". In my head I was like because I love you dummy! But out loud I said, "Because I like you and you're my baby!". I'm a coward.

Anyway at the end of the evening, I discovered I'd locked my keys in my car. I knew he had to leave to do something important so I told him to go on and I'd call AAA. He said oh hell no and stayed about 45 minutes until he got it open. I gave him a big hug and kiss and thanked him for his help and patience. He said, "No problem. I love you baby.". I FROZE!!! I gave him Another kiss and got in my car. He tapped on the window and asked if he could have another, which I obliged him then I left.

I am so mad at myself for being such a coward. Today I text him thank you in Spanish and ended it with a Spanish phrase for love you or like you depending on how it's read. I'm so mad at myself. I figured he must know how I feel because he kept asking me why I got him what I did, but I still feel like an ass. I've never told a man "I love you" in a romantic sense.

So what do y'all think? Will he be upset and think my text was cheesy? Is there any damage control I can do? I ruined a beautiful
moment. What a retard. Smh

You're just be you...keep doing that. I'm sure he wants to hear "I love you" back. But sounds like you're not ready....so what can ya do really :/

If it helps, here are some ways I felt about my Sag woman over 24 years ago.

@Sag89 I do. I've really been fighting it and trying to pull back because I didn't really understand why, since he has the ability to piss me off so much lol.

@Happy I hear you. And you do have a point. But a part of me feels like I should stop being an emotional coward. I'm always super protective about my feelings. I'm sure it was a gamble for him to come out and say it, but instead of me going with it and telling the truth, I still chose to hide. If it wasn't true that'd be one thing. But for me to feel the same way and still not say it after he took a leap of faith and opened the door...smh. I have to grow up.

Mind you, we had 2 girls (now 20 and 22) I asked her to marry me, she said yes, then...
she left me when she found out that she was carrying #2. That was almost 21 years ago....
I have been faithful to her since in spite of her leaving me, marrying
someone else (in spite of accepting my proposal) taught my girls to love him then divorced him 10 years ago.
Looking back, I believe her mental/emotional issues were the prime problems behind the separation. At the time,
I didn't understand and haven't until only recently, issues which I am only beginning to understand.
I don't think it's a Sag/Scorp issue but some underlying problems that have to be dealt with.

The hardest part is over with. HE said I love you and he said it first. GIRL, if you feel it, let it out!!! Good luck. You can do it and you know we'll all want an update 🙂

Piro!!! Where have you been? Well it's official. I'm a complete coward lol. I haven't told him yet. I know, boooo! And it turns out what I sounded off about, was a misunderstanding. He should have clarified, but I "let 'er rip" without bothering to ask questions first. Lol. He said, "Can you do me a favor?". I said, "What?".
