Isn't it beautiful? I wish I could live there and fish, and pick swimming kitties out of the lake.
They're twins π

I was thinkin' the same thing, Wynter.
I love the calmness and serenity of that lake.
Don't know if lighting on bank where the kitties
was natural, as some sunlight was beaming
through the clouds but that light and shadow
really gives this clip a very artistic feel about it.
The two redneck anglers were pretty darned cool
with them.
Why the Japanese had an interest in this
must be that cats must not like swimming in Japan
so it was a rare sight, for them. Like seeing a UFO.
The clip almost gave me the impression that
they might be "cast-aways" marooned on
Treasure Island. Of course they could be
two inmates who escaped Alcatraz.
To be honest, I think it's the first time
I've ever seen cats go skinnydipping.
I am reminded of Jaws. Have you seen it?
Hmmm, On the other hand, maybe one of those cats made their peace with God.
(And the other dove in after him)
Captain Quint is my favorite

Indeed!
Mine, also.
That monologue was given with legendary performance.
Bravo Mr. Shaw! Bravo!
The Indianapolis story is a true story.

I looked for more information on the fate of the water kitties, the guys found a family nearby who took both the twins. They even have their own facebook page. Warrior and River. lol
That's cool.
I was thinking they might keep them.

Heh, I was kinda hoping they would. π
I used to fuel up at the truck stop, scene in the clip, below. Twin Arrows was it's name.
It's on old Route 66, just east of Flagstaff.
You can see the two arrows. It's all closed up now, and run down real bad, nowadays. π’
When I see it in the clip, now, it brings back memories.

I fueled up the truck, eaten in the small cafe, the counter only had 8-10 stools
and where I slept in my rig, here.
Below is a song that lyrically describes a scene in the epic "The Grapes Of Wrath".
Twin Arrows is what I think of when I see that scene.
My REAL Name, "Ellsworth, Maine", which is the town and state where I was born, "MrFirebird" and "Route Sixty-Six" each add up to 66.

Maybe they'll play this when I'm gone
Who knows.
And just then, somewhere out there in the cold, cold north winter night, somewhere in the
middle of the state of northern nowhere, trampin' along the winter wonderland, I hear her singing.....
She still sings to me.
Not that anyone cares.
Sorry, didn't know where else to put that.
IF you wanted to know what the road was like for me, just mute the truck clip and play it and then
play the musical tunes, at the same time. Also, kinda invariably rock side to side to mimick the ride, like a 4x4.
Don't forget the coffee.
These two, below
Imagine driving 10 hours, straight, all night long.
Somewhere, your babies sleep.
And the jukebox in your mind, never fails to play.
Memories are like a left coast - eastcoast turn and burn.
These two, definitely (mute trucking clip, and play over the border, below it @ same time)
These two played at the same time, together, the truck clip muted, is getting much closer to
one facet of Firebird's perfection.
Perfection
^^^^ That was heroic Schnazzy Schneider!!
I see they still aim high.
Seen these, up close and personal, too.
Sorry Wynter, I was getting creative, and got a bit carried away. IF.... you want to see what I posted, just ask me.

I had friends in the 91st Bomb Group 8th Army Air Force in the ETO.
I have some of those vids in my collection as well π
I also like the more relaxing ones, like airplanes taking off and landing at airports.
Just Planes.com has a slew of Airport dvds, I like to plug one in and use it as background noise..so relaxing
