I don't know if it's a good thing or not, never been in any relationship with Scorpio.
My first impression from what you said made it sound unhealthy. It doesn't sound like other watery relationships such as Cancer/Pisces.

Well cancer is a natural nurturer. It only comes out when they trust the other person. Scorpio is over protective and paternalistic. It depends on other factors, not just the suns being in scorpio and cancer. other elements in the charts, the maturity level. emotions by themselves tend to ruin the possibilities of a well established connection. some bonds can be toxic. i myself do not know any cancers, so i cannot agree with this strong connection observation you have. but that's just me.
I agree with your observations, my comment was purely based on a ton off Cancer/Scorp couples I know. It's probably a bit myopic since I obviously do not know every cancer and scorpio.
I know 2-3 scorpios utmost and we are very distant from eachother.

This is where I screwed up with the first Scorpio she let her guard down and I abandoned her she already had some abandonment issues with her mom and father not being there for her when she was growing up. When she felt abandoned her anxiety/anxiousness was through the roof she has anxiety problems I made it worse.

I don't know that as a blanket rule all Cancer men are sensitive. I have moon in Capricorn which isn't a particularly sensitive placement.

All night long...especially in the beginning and can last indefinetly. It may not necessarily be actual penetration or even oral sex. It's the act of wanting to "consuming" the object of their affection...on a physical, mental, spiritual level. It's amazing and exhausting...damn near impossible to keep up. Nothing quite like it...and I think watersigns when it's right, together mirror each other and it just leads to just phenomenal mental & physical connections.

Arielle nailed it. If both people are mature and balanced, this is a very reciprocatory type of relationship, plus the fact that both innately understand the depth of emotions the other is dealing with.
Rein, the scorpio need to protect in all aspects fits well with the cancer need to to have security, and cancer has a need to spoil/pamper their loved ones, with food, sex( applied to a partner, obviously), home life. Basically it's the protector meets the nurturer. I already know you're going to do that manly face scrunching thing over being pampered, but you guys secretly love it.

One reason that Cancers love Scorpios in a relationship is because they can be dominating, not because Cancer is weak by any means, but Cancer does not like to be in control even though they can be. They like that Scorpio can dominate but in a subtle, non-flashy way, and that Scorpio can also be sensitive. Cancer also loves a mystery and they like someone who they can spend a lifetime getting to know, which is Scorpio. Both Cancer and Scorpio are highly intuitive and can almost know what the other is thinking and feeling without either saying a word, which both love. Those are just a few of my experiences anyway. It can be a temultuous relationship, though.
I'm a cancer sun/ cancer moon and I've dated a couple of Scorpios. I'm currently seeing a guy that is sun in Scorpio, moon in Pisces. These relationships are not always "pretty" and most people on the outside don't "get" it because they don't see what's going on beneath the surface between Cancer and Scorpio. But I'll also say as a Cancer I'm a great match with Leo, and I wish I could find a Scorpio with some Leo influences :p

Totally agree with you here. ALso based on the female cancers I know. They are way more in the lead than I have ever been or wanted to be relationship wise.
But as far as my own experience... I mean... He was a very very sweet guy when he wanted to be (and when he didn´t want to be, I kinda like him regardless what he does, and that´s not good), and he listens and takes care of others, but his own needs come first. I have been waiting around for him for almost 4 years in different ways, I had absolutely no power in our relations - I couldn´t even figure out, when being nice "worked" and when it didn´t. Only thing I could do to express myself was being a crazy bitch, to have some sort of influence on our relation. VERY strange for me. I think it´s difficult for a scorpio or maybe a scorpio/sag cusper like myself in particular to try and fit into someones elses life just like that. Felt like being an appendix. BUT in defense of all succesful cancer-scorpio relationships: my experience is based on two people, where the one wasn´t as interested as the other, it was a constant struggle, so not sure my experience really counts.click to expand

Once a cancer owns you emotionally, you have no power. It's like being a crack addict. I have seen people get into a ton of trouble with cancers. There are cancers who are going to be dicks and use their influence negatively, can't deny that. But not all of us are like that.

If the molding is unsuccesful, cancer back off? Won´t the cancer be bored, if they have someone, they have molded themselves?! Where is the surprise then? ´Cause cancer will never be plan themselves and will keep surprising and do, what they want, and that is how it should be, but it should go both ways.
As a cardinal sign, we have a tendency to move on. We are not going to dedicate the rest of our lives to one project, that's just not how we think.
There's a lot about cancer that people don't know anything about. I said before, don't let the suit fool you, we are pretty hardnosed screwers.

Touché. Maybe this is the real attraction between scorpio and cancer then?!.. Exept for the sexual one, in my case that was through the roof! And despite everything that´s happened and that he will never be able to love me, I still think of the cancer as a great guy for the right woman, but also: he´s hot!!! Not in the conventional way. Just something about him.
And that´s also something, I believe scorpio is VERY attracted to and wish, we had ourselves (and some do) - the unconventional but yet extremely attractive vibe.But damn... Cancer chose the strongest one and then try to bend them how they see fitt? These two signs are way more alike than I thought 😄

It's not so much a battle for control it's two independent people coming together and realizing they both have positions to play.

Omg my aunt a cancer is dating a younger scorpio guy and he wont even let her have her own cell phone to use but he has one. He also doesnt work because she is jealous he could meet someone! I dont see it as a healthy relationship at all because he has totally taken advantage and she stupidly lets him!

I am curious to know why this is a strong connection? Just because they are both water signs?
I don't actually see any similarity between the two but yet I know a ton of Cancer/Scorpio couples. Someone explain this to me.
