The testing will continue until you "fail" ( the failure could be real or part of some twisted logic he's come up with) which is what the Scorpio is waiting for anyway. Self fulfilling prophesies. Self destructive behaviors.
But don't ever apply the same testing to him though...
Scorpio men are emotionally draining, a 24/7 job. The head games are petty and tiring. Only a Cancer or Pisces female has the patience for the bs long term, from what I've seen.

A lot of chefs/cooks are coked out, in kitchens across the world. It's a stressful as fuck job, and there are a lot of Gordon Ramsay's working in them.
He's not that bad a guy outside of his "persona" on television, though.
