I find this reaction tends to occur with other water signs. Water signs have this way of stirring up serious emotions in people huh?

I have never been mirrored before. Its infuriating as well as instructive and, when you really think about it, far more gentle than arguing or criticizing. Having gone through my first real epiphany with it--I'm kind of digging it. Honestly.

I've never thought about it in that way. It is gentler than the alternative--and yes, infuriating until you figure out what is going on. I struggle with the concept a bit, but I am beginning to understand it better now. I think (when you have other positive traits and maturity involved) that it can definitely help you stretch and grow. Of course the nature of the relationship makes a huge difference.
I find the impact is much more powerful when it is done between a Scorp and another water Sun signs. Same sign, it just becomes a battle of wits, and little growth.
IS & PR- I think the scary thing about someone mirroring you is not knowing where it ends- like a carnival house of mirrors!
I think it ends when one decides to stop the mime-game and take the lead. Fear often makes this difficult really. From my observation this tends to occur when Crabs and Scorps decide to slow dance. It's a shame really...

First, try to recognize that you, in fact, are being mirrored. Second, if you love the person, try to understand that they are not doing this to hurt you. Water signs are sensitive and in many ways very shy when you get to our core. If you can really examine the mirror from that context, you will find that the mirror is really about helping you to understand how they feel. Like really feel.
Most signs will tell you how they feel. "This made me feel...so on and so forth..." Water signs will try to get you to feel how they feel. If you are an intuitive, sensitive sort you should take that in and reflect. IMO /overanalysis

I like that waters 'get' the emotion and don't hide from it. They get down and dirty, wallow & roll in the emotional mudpit.
But it can be pretty intense. Crabs especially- they take the emotion and crystallize it, refract and then shatter it!
